Nice old building, great location. Rooms were in a very traditional style which l liked.
Food was awful, restaurant has photos online show fine dining. We were the only guests so maybe the chef was off but 20 euros for 2 dry chicken drum sticks with chips and a luke warm cabbage soup was fairly unreasonable.

This is a very individual property with a lot of interesting history. It is in a wonderful location by the river and has a lot of interesting rooms and building features. The dining room in particular has a very grand feel. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed as part of a cycling group, and the location gives great access to a wonderfully attractive area.

I visited this Quinta for one day. I was impressed by the beauty of the estate. Everything is so amazing. They even have a small waterfall nearby. Some things that they could improve is to keep benches clean. I had to put towel to sit on it. The pool was good, but a little dirty as well as the private river beach. I would suggest them to clean it too from some rubbish on the sand. The room was clean and warm. The bed was hard and the great minus is that dogs were barking during the night. Another thing is that wifi is really poor. On the highest floor it was not working. The service itself is good, but there are always things to be improved. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and was pleased with friendly staff and nature.

Local muito tranquilo. Muito acolhedor e de paisagens maravilhosas. O rio aos pés, a piscina magnífica e a cascata de chorar por mais. As colaboradoras de uma enorme simpatia. Até o comboio passa ao lado! Um cais para receber iates e pena é que os seus utilizadores sejam tão barulhentos quando se dirigem para as refeições. Mas isso é suportável perante o cenário do douro. As entradas são magníficas e deviam talvez apurar as sobremesas. Muito bom e adorei.

We have just spent 2 fabulous nights Quinta da Ermida, it is located right on the river bank of the Douro, and is incredibly quite and peaceful. We had alfresco dining on both evenings and the food was fantastic. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, they are a credit to this establishment. We will definitely return on one of our trips away from the Algarve. A big thank you to all at Quinta da Ermida

Ambiente espectacular, cheira a paz! Tudo limpo e organizado. Casa antiga muito bem cuidada e confortável. A vista sobre o Douro é incrível, o som da natureza está por todo o lado. Tem várias atividades disponíveis, uma sala de jogos, campo de futebol/ténis, capela, espaços para piquenique, o espaço da piscina é muito bom. Os funcionários são muito prestáveis e simpáticos, passam durante o dia na piscina para saber se alguém quer beber alguma coisa... Não jantamos na quinta mas pareceu uma atividade bem organizada e agradável. O pequeno almoço é bom, apesar de faltar ovos. Quantos bastante limpos e equipados com ar condicionado/aquecimento.
