The rooms were very comfortable and spacious with plenty of space to sit and relax. The complimentary half bottle of wine plus soda and water was nice, and the wine tasting in the lobby was great. We stayed for dinner and the meal and service were really wonderful. Staff was helpful with information and requests. Other than the little bit of 101 road noise (not audible in the room w/ windows closed), it was quite pleasant. One thing that would have been nice is music, either through the TV or some other radio/media.

So, good points, disappointing points... Had a King Balcony Fireplace room with Vineyard View. Each 'adjective' is an upgrade. Great view of the vineyard, room nicely appointed and updated. Had breakfast on our way out, great meal. Fireplace didn't operate. Noted that at 900pm on Sunday so not inclined to call down for 'repair' when in robes before going to bed. When i brought this to the attnetion of the front desk on checkout: Q- "Did you call to have it looked at?" A- "When my wife and I are in robes just before bed on a Sunday? Really?" Room wasn't ready at 4pm checkin time so waited in the car for our keys. No one at the front desk let us know that all items in the minbar were included. No room handbook [how to operate the fireplace, hotel policies, etc.]. To their credit they removed the resort fees each day, once for the delay in checkin, the other for the non op fireplace. For a 'destination' resort at $400 per nite they should have this on autopilot.

The room I was assigned to was not cleaned. Went back to Reception and took 10 minutes to find someone for assistance. The TV had only one channel that worked.

A purchased gift certificate from the Christmas before last was not accepted. The young man didn’t know how to process it and charged the credit card. After an email and multiple calls, not one person has responded. This smacks of seedy motel off a freeway vibe. They could still make this righ, but have not responded once.

Was final luxury stay after a fantastic road trip. Rooms are large and beds comfortable. A few *******: - booked room with sofa bed and was given rollaway and when questioned was told because I booked on a third party it was all I would get (manager then went on at length how bad booking sites are) - room was very hot and after returning from dinner realised air con not working (and had not been checked prior to check in). Multiple people checked it, but was late. Told to just sleep with windows open - very noisy from road (with windows open) - Manager was very very vocal about lots of things. Saying he would ‘try’ and get breakfast comped. He didn’t and assume he didn’t try as should have been easy thing to do. But this is where we are now. Shame as hotel could be nice, but left a rather unpleasant final stay - especially at the price we paid to have some luxury.

Beautiful gardens! Manager is unfriendly- fussing at employees, vendors, and guests about non existent parking issues and then lying to my face when confronted about it. Rooms are acceptable but need basic maintenance issues addressed. First review I’ve ever left for anything because of the rudeness of the manager.

Upon arrival my husband and I had a small mishap. We called it out and it was taken care of beautifully. Robert expeditiously handled us with the best care and service. We had a lovely room with a beautiful view. Dinner was exceptional at their onsite restaurant. The bartender Matthew was such a pleasure, well knowledgeable of the menu and made the best recommendations as well as expanding our pallets. Our front desk host, Aisha, was also very pleasant, assisted with all our needs and made our stay memorable.
