Santa Susanna Resort Hotel

Excellent hotel and amenities. I had a very lovely time there with my partner. The food was excellent and the customer service too. Would completely recommend this place to other people that want to have a great vacation with their partner or family

Hotel is amazing staff so polite and helpful. Food very good snack bar really good. Hotel is very clean cleaners working non stop. Rooms are comfortable with good storage and plenty of hot water. Definitely on my list to return. Hotel owner such a lovely gentleman.

I’ve been twice at Hotel Santa Susanna Resort (September 23). Me and my family were amazed by the kindness and hospitality of the staff and just reserved in the same hotel for 2024! Clean and functional rooms, with enough space for a family of four. My kids were amazed by the water park within the resort. The food was also amazing! Very good value for money!

Brilliant stay thanks Ron for all of your help. I will have the best time staying here. I'll definitely use this company again . I've yet to travel and can't wait. Plan my Tour has checked me in today, everything was made easy. I just need to pack my case

Hotel atzavara was fantastic, Santa susanna has a nice beach although we hardly used it. It's really handy for train to Barcelona and we're we visited, Girona. Plenty of restaurants and bars. Nice place. Would go again.

The hotel was a bit out dated the first night we turned up people were dancing on tables and were drunk. Food was good however as I’m so fussy I didn’t struggle at all we paid for later check out and cleaners kept walking in our room Disturbing us which wasn’t on complained to reception but they didn’t care don’t think I would go back

DISGUSTING DIRTY PLASTIC CUPS THAT THEY WASH AND USE AGAIN ABD AGAIN FOR ALL COLD AND HOT DRINKS RATS RUNNING ROUND POOL EVEN JUMPING ON SUN BEDS COMPLAIN TO HOLIDAY COMPANY THEY DONT WANT TO KNOW EVEN PROVIDED PHOTOS !! CAUSE HOTEL MANAGEMENT GAVE DIFFERENT STORY THEY BELIEVE THE HOTEL !!! VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH LOVE HOLIDAYS AND WILL NEVER BOOK WITH THEM AGAIN !! IF YOU HAD THIS EXPERIENCE PLEASE PUT IT ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA LIKE WE ARE GOING TO DO AND PLEASE ANYONE THINKING OF BOOKING THIS HOTEL DONT

So we booked this week away as two families with teenage kids. This was booked knowing it was a cheaper deal and 3 stars. We have been to a lot of countries across Europe, America, the Caribbean and Mexico. Our expectations weren’t high due to the price point. So we can’t really complain on that front. It was an all inclusive package, and realistically it would sit at the bottom end of 3 stars. In general, the staff were polite and friendly (you get a few exceptions, but you get that anywhere). The room is very basic and limited on space. But again, we knew what we were getting for October school holidays and the low price we paid. The maids came daily to us, but were hit and miss to our friends who were staying in the floor below. In terms of the food, it wasn’t that good, to be honest. We only went to breakfast a couple of times as the food was often cold, even when brought out whilst you were there. Not a great deal of choice, particularly with your main meal or if you were a bit fussier. Your children will not find chicken nuggets or pizza here. Although they will sell you pizza at the bar for 11 euros. The main buffet is in the basement area too. The lighting is poor and quite depressing and was akin to something off a prison show or Squid Games! There was no fresh air down there, although they had air con. But after a couple of days, it kind of brought you down. The tables are small too and not wide enough for the two chairs they place under them and that’s even for the less rotund customer. The snack bar probably had the best food, but only if you like a toasty or hot dog. The “hamburger” was made from a yet unidentified meat. But if you read someone else’s review, they mentioned rats around the pool. We didn’t see any, but we didn’t spend a lot of time down there. We sat on the balcony area near the bar as it was quite a nice sun trap as it was a little windy when we were there. The entertainment at night was ok, but will depend on what sort of entertainment you’re accustomed to. Karaoke was a funny night, listening to people singing songs from a time when you could sing whatever you liked without the threat of being cancelled. We laughed when we heard “we are having a gang bang …” amongst other songs! We didn’t partake in the singing ourselves, but lots of others did. If you have young children and you’re on a strict budget, they’d probably really like this hotel. There is a mini disco at night, and kids run wild around the hotel. The place is noisy all day and night, so don’t expect a decent nights sleep or an afternoon nap. Lots of parents just let their kids play on the stairwells and in the corridors, where even a rats fart could be heard from the floor above. The other thing you need to prepare yourself for is the “token” system for drinks. You’re given a token for each person and you exchange it each time you want a drink. The cups are tiny and it means they don’t have to pay anyone to collect cups as you are responsible for y

Arrived at Hotel after a stressful transfer and initially was pleased with the Hotel frontage and surroundings. After checking in at Reception was presented with 5 drinks tokens for 1 euro per token which we were given a receipt for and told we would be refunded on return of tokens at the end of the stay. Had 2 rooms next to each other and there was 1 double and 2 single beds in each room . After initial inspection found there was no Fridge, tea or coffee facilities and No hairdryer but a TV with no remote control. Went to reception to see if we could hire a hairdryer and remote, was told no hairdryers are supplied would have to purchase from local shop and was given a remote for the TV at no charge, there is a safe in the wardrobe but no lock which yet again found that you had to hire the lock and key for the safe. We checked out the Hotel facilities and bar areas then the restaurant down 2 flights of stairs. The food was good as they do cater for the english very well , breakfast always what we would expect but the food was only warm not hot but a microwave available to use. Yes the food is very repetitive but always a good selection at meal times. Struggled to get used to having to give your token over for a drink but you were never served a drink in the same plastic beaker and if you finished you simply handed the glass back to retrieve a token . Snack bar and poolside bar very good able to get toasties, hotdogs, burgers but the did not do chips or fries as stated but you got a small bag of crisps instead. Shuttle bus very efficient outside Hotel took you to the central part of Santa Susanna or train station if you asked, beware of the road train which stops outside Hotel, we wanted to catch it back to the Hotel with our young grandson which is a short 10 min stroll after asking driver for tickets ( 2 adults 1 small child ) wanted to charge nearly 15 euro for a short 5 minute train ride, explained that we were only wanting to go back to Hotel not a sightseeing trip round the town he was insistent it was 14.80 euros so we refused and walked back , not happy as there are several of these trains and they advertise fares for 3.90 euros per person for the train ride on the side of the train, we spoke to several other families in the Hotel and it was disclosed they all had paid different prices ranging from 2 euros to 6 euros per person so be alert that this can cost you dearly
