J’ai passé une nuit difficile. Ce motel de bord de route que j’avais choisi n’était déjà pas très reluisant et j’avais trouvé un énorme cafard mort dans la salle de bain en arrivant. Propreté douteuse et équipements bien déglingués. Sans parler du personnel plutôt radin question sourire. Mais bon, ça fait parti du voyage et on s’y fait. Non le truc, c’est que le motel est à touche-touche avec une discothèque en plein air et qu’on était samedi. Si vous ajoutez le fait qu’il n’y a pas de fenêtres mais des moustiquaires avec des volets, vous avez une petite idée de la nuit que j’ai passé. A éviter donc.

This is a $30 room posing as a $65 room. The room itself is large yet absolutely devoid of any personality or decor. A king size bed, wall mount tv, small desk and an AC. That’s it.
Starting with the best feature and working down:
The bed is very comfortable and firm. Lots of pillows.
The AC works. Sort of. It blows cold air into the large uninsulated box of a room. It was just cool enough after 4 hours to keep me from changing rooms or hotels. The remote is useless for anything other than turning the AC on.
The water pressure in the bathroom is roughly equal to that of a 90 year old man passing a kidney stone. I actually gave up on my shower on my legs! I have never felt compelled to quit on a shower. Maybe it was the complete lack of hot water coupled with the anemic stream?
There is a free breakfast! It was colder than my room temperature when I woke up but it tasted decent and the latte was a nice gesture.
In summary: no. Just no.
