Arrived after completing our camino. The room looked brand new, as did the whole hotel area. Nice shower, adequate amount of room. Too far out of the old town, really, considering we had walked over 200 miles in 12 days, we were glad we had booked another hotel for the rest of our stay in Santiago. The breakfast was basic but fresh and tasty. Good coffee!!! We had difficulty phoning for a taxi. We and another two couples gave up and walked. The staff suggested that we leave our bags, walk into town, hail a taxi, and return - too much faffing that.

This was our last stop after completing the Camino de Santiago. A short 10 minute walk from the City centre. The rooms were comfortable, very clean with a great hot shower! Breakfast was fresh and delicious. There are no other food options here, and the vending machines which provided water and snacks had broken down just as we arrived! However a short 12 minute walk away and you can find lots of restuarants. A great priced hotel with a beautiful chapel and working Nun's. Very peaceful would recommend.

Terrific service. I did not realise my booking had been cancelled due to credit card error and though I arrived after 10pm due to flight delay, the sisters allocated me a room. I checked in officially the following morning and the experience couldn’t have been nicer, lovely lady, Maria was charming and explained that even though my booking had been cancelled they had kept reception open late for me the previous night. Peaceful and sedate hotel, set in quiet grounds. Beautiful friendly staff. Simple breakfast. Thank you for a pleasant stay

A beautiful place, an old convent, super clean with parking, attended by the sisters, beautiful garden, very quiet, a long walk from the cathedral, with ups and downs through the campus of the University of Santiago de Compostela, which has its charm. Basic breakfast of good quality, we arrived after noon and they recommended us to have lunch in the university dining room, it has a menu with a starter, dessert and a bottle of water this 5/2 2a 6 euros, very good. Very clean spacious room with spotless bathroom, exceeded our expectations.

La Casa Diocesana Vía Lucis es una opción fantástica para alojarse en Santiago de Compostela, especialmente si acabas de terminar el Camino. Está situada en el campus universitario, a unos 15 minutos a pie de la Catedral, con un ambiente joven durante el día y una tranquilidad absoluta por la noche. El lugar está en plena renovación: antiguamente era la residencia de monjas y monjes, y hoy esas celdas se han convertido en habitaciones modernas. Si reservas, pide una renovada: tienen suelo de parquet, muebles nuevos, cama y cojín muy cómodos, y baño privado con ducha (aunque esto hace que la habitación sea un poco más compacta). El entorno conserva un aire sereno y especial: hay textos religiosos en las habitaciones, presencia de monjas y una pequeña capilla para rezar. No hay televisión, lo que invita a desconectar y reflexionar tras el Camino, aunque sí disponen de WiFi. Las ventanas son altas, típicas de la construcción original, y cuentan con persianas que dejan la habitación completamente a oscuras para un descanso óptimo. En resumen, un alojamiento muy recomendable: tranquilo, cómodo y con un ambiente único para descansar y cerrar la experiencia del Camino de Santiago.

Hermoso lugar, mucha tranquilidad, limpieza excelente, desayuno muy bien, wifi en habitación no hay. Solo en espacios comunes muy bien. La atención bien, el check out bien. Ampli Estacionamiento, espacios exteriores muy bonitos, ideal para un retiro que invita a La Paz interior. En general muy recomendable.

La Casa Diocesana Via Lucis si presenta subito molto bene, immersa in un bel parco nella zona del campus dell'Università di Santiago. Il personale è un suo punto di forza, estremamente disponibile, gentilissimo e professionale. La stanza era ampia, pulitissima e silenziosissima, dava su un frutteto da cui non proveniva nessun rumore. Abbiamo scoperto che era possibile avere la colazione per pochi Euro, colazione che si è rivelata molto buona. Via Lucis è a circa 1.5 km dall'Obradoiro, non è quindi proprio vicina al centro, ma, sinceramente, non è mai stato un problema (avevamo fatto molta più strada lungo il Cammino Portoghese...). Visto il periodo del soggiorno, la zona è poco frequentata, tutte le attività del Campus sono ferme, ma Via Lucis si trova cmq a pochi passi da una buona gelateria/caffetteria, per cui un pasto veloce è garantito.
