El parador es precioso y uno de sus atractivos es que tiene varias áreas con sillones para tomar la copa. Sin embargo nunca se dignó la camarera atendernos en una de las zonas en las que habitualmente se dá el servicio. Una sola persona que hace todo, tomar pedidos, preparar bebidas, cobrar etc. Quieren ahorrar dinero poniendo poco personal

Hemos pasado unos dias de descanso visitando los pueblos de alrededor, además de Santo Domingo de la Calzada y ha sido una muy buena experiencia, tanto para descansar como para comer.

I received cold very strong undrinkable coffee for breakfast. I explained ton staff but it came back the same way . Cold coffee is unacceptable and I resent paying 47 euros for two very poor breakfasts

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is wonderful, and full of historical interest. The building itself is beautiful, particularly the main reception area. The room was very comfortable and very clean, and we slept well (despite the church bells that continued through the night). The staff were delightful; charming and very eager to help, even though they must get asked the same questions day in and day out! The bar was great, and really efficiently run by some very kind and charming hosts. The underground car parking (for which we paid extra) was a tight squeeze for our (rather large) car but worked well, and there were EV chargers to use. Despite the entrance fee, a wander around the cathedral is well worth it, to learn more about the place's history and Saint Dominic. And, of course, to see the chickens! A dinner recommendation would be Los Caballeros, which is about a minute's walk away from the hotel. Fabulous food and delightful service; it's rare that we leave an establishment with kisses for the maitre d'!!

The half board package is super value. We had a delightful stay at this beautiful Parador situated right in the centre of the town but with good access for arriving by car. Room excellent and we were very efficiently handled when our toilet flush broke it was repaired within the hour. Excellent service. Food in the restaurant was superb and the breakfast buffet all you would expect at a top quality hotel. All in all a superb two night stay.

Nous avons séjourné pour une nuit et franchement l’hôtel mérite le détour. Beauté des lieux environnement agréable nous reviendrons… Le bémol est sur la restauration et le petit déjeuner, c’est très correct, mais cela pourrait être beaucoup mieux… par exemple pour le café et les viennoiseries pas vraiment top Heureusement que tout le reste est à la hauteur

Hace años que soy amiga de paradores, por sus emblemáticos edificios en sitios únicos. El parador de Santo Domingo encaja en este aspecto, y reúne las condiciones, por lo que en cuanto a edificio, situación, habitaciones no tengo nada que añadir. La amabilidad en recepción, servicio de limpieza, y también en parte de los camareros, fue muy buena. Mi gran decepción fue el desayuno, mal servicio con poco personal, escasa oferta: se terminó el pan!! Y no lo reponían, teniendo que llamarles la atención, y ademas la camarera solo repuso una pequeña bandeja con rebanaditas. Tampoco reponían los embutidos, quesos… hasta para pedir las tortillas me pusieron pegas. La tortilla de patata era del día anterior. La bollería industrial y congelada en su mayor parte. No había ni croissants. En fin, siempre he disfrutado con los desayunos de paradores y tengo que decir que fue decepcionante. Espero que corrijan este aspecto tan importante para seguir diciendo que los desayunos en paradores son deliciosos y no la gran decepción.
