A nice comfortable stay but I wouldn’t call it 5 star. The property is nice and clean, well maintained and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. However the apartments could do with better finishing. The cupboards in our kitchen were practically empty, no wine glasses, only 1 spoon, only 3 mugs and no utensils. We had to pay a $100 deposit at check in in case we lost or damaged any of this stuff, but it wasn’t there. I did report it and the staff were good, but the wine glasses I requested never arrived. Not a huge deal but might impact longer stays.
I also thought the linens weren’t of 5 star quality, only 2 pillows which could do with replacing, small towels and no tea towel at all in the kitchen.
But, the pool area and views were lovely, the gym a great space and overall a comfortable stay.

Overall, the cleanliness and convenient location were good, but the price was a bit high. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and the issue couldn't be effectively resolved. Plus, the air conditioning was broken. Even after staff came to check it, it still needs significant improvement. All equipment should be checked thoroughly in advance.

I was so impressed by this hotel; I didn't know about it until I was looking for a place to stay in Santo Domingo and found this marvelous place. Alexandra, the beautiful girl from the front desk, is amazing—so nice, always smiling, and prompt to help with anything. All the people that work there are friendly and kind. The breakfast at Dos Cafés restaurant was amazing and delicious. Absolutely my favorite place to stay from now on.

The hotel is a true 5 stars. The manager of the hotel will look at you down if you are not your typical white traveler, other than that the rest of the hotel staff is amazing.
