Sanya Phoenix Island Dream Chasing Sea Resort Hotel Reviews

I got to live here after the hotel I booked originally cancelled while in the flight to Sanya. It isn’t a place I’d ordinarily stay in but it did the job- accommodated me. It’s called sky-view but was given the 7th floor. The walls are so thin so I could hear neighbors and their noisy children the entire 5 nights I was there. Check in was a nightmare. I was dropped in one building, took to another to check in and then taken to another to my room. The room’s keys were not available when I got to my door so I had wait, luggage and all. WiFi was immensely unstable by day 3. Thin pillows that I had to use the couch cushion as an auxiliary.

Everything is OK! The hotel is in an OK environment, but when I checked in, they said that the room I booked was the worst on the 3rd floor, and suggested that I upgrade. I paid on the spot to upgrade to a higher floor, but my Ctrip points upgrade was useless. After adding more than 420 yuan per room, I found that it was just a higher floor. The facilities need to be improved. It feels too old and shabby. The floor displayed by the elevator is different from the actual floor. The room door is worse than a rough room. The door lock looks like you can pull it out with your hands, and the automatic curtain switch is broken. Breakfast is delivered to the room. There are battery cars to enter and exit the island. No one explains various services.

The accommodation is beautiful and we enjoyed it. Unfortunately, everything we were promised as a bonus was a lie. The staff tried to come up with a new reason every day that we couldn't go on the yacht tour. The last excuse was that we had to pay almost as much as the trip itself if we took it through an agency. In the end, they said that the weather was bad. Also, it was impossible to arrange a pick-up at the airport because you have to call them and then they don't understand you because they only speak Chinese. So don't expect too much!
