The hotel boasts a Southeast Asian garden-style design, with all rooms being private villas, offering exceptional privacy. We rarely encountered other guests, except during breakfast and at the beach bar. Every evening, the hotel provides complimentary sunset drinks and snacks, which is delightful. The beach bar is right on the hotel's private and quiet beach, with very few people around. The hotel breakfast was a pleasant surprise, served from 7 AM until 12 PM, perfect for late risers like us! If you prefer not to go to the restaurant, the hotel also offers room service, which is a thoughtful touch. While the breakfast selection isn't vast, all items are distinctly local. I highly recommend the Hou'an noodles, oyster congee, and seafood noodles. The minibar in the room is restocked daily with a wide variety of drinks, more than you can possibly consume. The staff are incredibly enthusiastic, constantly asking if you need more. Another highlight is the evening turndown service. They light essential oils and even provide a complimentary 'Qingbuliang' (a refreshing local dessert), creating a perfect atmosphere for sleep. I literally just fell asleep and slept soundly until morning every night.

My InterContinental Resort stay was fantastic this time. First, a big thanks to our butler, Bonnie Tan, for upgrading us to a Deluxe Seaview room. We could see the ocean and the sunrise, although it was a pity that heavy rain the first two days made the nearshore waters murky. As of now, after two days, the yellowish area has reduced by about a third; I estimate it will take a week to fully clear up. Yesterday, the sunrise was partly obscured by clouds, but it was still beautiful. The room layout was excellent, very spacious with a wide open plan. The bathroom had two sinks and a vanity, and the shower faced the sea, perfect for watching the sunrise in the morning. The bathtub was on the balcony; if I had stayed another day, I definitely would have enjoyed it. The Tianfu Chinese restaurant was delicious. They had a great value couple's set menu. The Crispy Pork Sandwich was perfect for those with a taste from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. The grouper felt like it weighed a pound, and the chicken fat rice was so good I posted about it on both Dianping and Xiaohongshu. Other à la carte dishes were a bit pricey, probably 300-400 RMB per person. The tennis court was affordable at 180 RMB an hour, including rackets. They were all Wilson rackets; I couldn't identify the model but definitely not the Clash series. There were two with thin grips and two with thicker ones. Like the court itself, they were quite old. The pink thin-grip one I used felt like the strings were a bit loose, not as tight as the blue thin-grip one. The staff also set up a table and chairs, providing towels and water, which was a nice touch. The hotel lobby had a very high ceiling, grand decor, and an expansive space that was truly refreshing, much better than the feeling I got at the Yalong Bay Marriott. All the staff were friendly and greeted guests, and service was very responsive, including the front desk, lobby, Tianfu Bay restaurant, family pool, tennis court, and even the maintenance staff on the beach 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The views from the room and private pool are truly stunning, overlooking distant mountains and Yalong Bay. It's incredibly quiet and relaxing here; I felt like I could happily stay in the room for days. The room rate also includes tickets to the Forest Park, which is definitely worth a visit for its beautiful scenery. Breakfast was decent, nothing spectacular, but the restaurant's view was amazing. Enjoying breakfast while taking in the scenery was a real treat. Overall, it's a perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

The hotel boasts a first-line beach, and the coconut grove garden is beautiful. The beach is just a few minutes' walk away. The parent-child facilities are comprehensive: multiple swimming pools, a dedicated children's splash pool with slides, an indoor kids' club for托管 (childcare/supervision), a garden train, and beach activities. Kids have plenty to do all day long. The service is very thoughtful, with children's bathrobes and toiletries prepared in advance. The staff are gentle and respond promptly. Breakfast offers a wide selection, including Qingbuliang (Hainanese dessert) and Hainan noodles, so everyone, young and old, can find something they love. No need to travel far; you can enjoy the beach, water play, and a complete leisurely vacation all within the hotel. It truly allows for a 'lying flat' style of parenting (effortless child-minding). We had a fantastic stay at this villa. The interior is spacious, open, and impeccably clean. The private infinity pool offers stunning views and is incredibly photogenic, creating the ultimate vacation vibe. The resort provides a shuttle service, making getting around completely hassle-free. The hotel is in a prime location, very convenient for visiting the nearby night market—we especially recommend the local Zhaopo vinegar hot pot. Coming back to the villa after a night of eating and exploring was so relaxing. Service requests were handled promptly. Overall, it's a great place for a vacation and unwinding. Highly recommended!

Lounging there in the evening with a cup of tea, taking in the view, gave the ultimate vacation vibe. But the absolute highlight was our butler, Coral! She reached out proactively before check-in to ask about our preferences and share local travel tips. Once we arrived, she went above and beyond for every request. I casually mentioned craving some fruit, and shortly after, a fresh fruit platter was delivered right to our room—such a thoughtful touch. Throughout the stay, it felt less like staying at a hotel and more like visiting a friend. Coral’s service was attentive without ever being intrusive. The garden view room was quiet and comfortable, the amenities were practical, and the scenery was a huge bonus. Staying at this hotel felt like incredible value for money. The check-in process was fantastic, and the front desk staff, Robert, deserves a big thumbs up. He patiently introduced us to the surrounding shopping malls and attractions, as well as the operating hours for the hotel pool, gym, and restaurant. The room was clean and hygienic, and the bedding was especially comfortable for sleeping. The balcony features a huge bathtub, though unfortunately I didn't get a chance to use it due to the weather. Check-out was handled very efficiently by the staff, and they even gave us a small gift upon departure.

The Mangrove Tree Resort in Haitang Bay has long been my unwavering vacation retreat, perfectly aligning with all my aspirations for a coastal getaway. Year after year, I return with a longing heart. I’ve always been captivated by the 180° Deluxe Seaview Room, with its expansive balcony directly facing the vast South China Sea. Leaning on the railing, I take in the boundless blue sea and sky, watching the clouds drift and the tides ebb and flow. In past stays, I did leave some minor suggestions for improvement. Returning this time, I was delighted to see the hotel has diligently iterated and enhanced its services, with numerous details improved, showcasing a sincere commitment to guest satisfaction. The only minor imperfections this stay were the weak air conditioning in the room and a malfunctioning electric screen. I hope the housekeeping and engineering departments can strengthen their coordinated inspections and daily equipment maintenance to further refine the living experience. This year’s entire trip was exceptionally memorable, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to our butler, 'Juzi Juzi Juzi'. Her service was meticulous and attentive, with highly efficient and timely responses. Every request was addressed. Without me even having to ask, she proactively inquired about my itinerary and daily needs, promptly arranging room cleaning, replenishing beverages, and even thoughtfully providing fruit plates and desserts. When my relatives and friends later checked into the same type of seaview room, they were also handled by the butler throughout their stay. She arranged high-floor rooms with large balconies offering sea views and even provided upgrades. This has been the most outstanding butler service I've experienced in my many years of staying at the Mangrove Tree Resort. I sincerely hope the hotel can cultivate more such excellent service staff. I also want to thank the Trip.com butler who helped me communicate and implement my special check-in requests in advance. Upon arrival, I didn't have to wait in line, and the coveted sea-view room had already been perfectly reserved for me. I used the VIP channel for check-in, and the entire process was calm and smooth. My initial room was upgraded to the 15th floor, and later, due to the air conditioning issue, the butler thoughtfully coordinated a move to the executive floor on the 23rd floor. The service provided by 'Juzi Juzi Juzi' this year was truly flawless. As night falls, fireworks bloom in the sky, with buildings and the heavens reflecting each other, creating a spectacular and dazzling scene. Haitang Bay boasts a cluster of high-end hotels, but in my heart, the Mangrove Tree Resort will always hold an irreplaceable position. Strolling through the hotel gardens, gazing at the vast ocean, enjoying delicious food with the sea breeze; at night, sitting alone by the sea, listening to the rhythmic waves, I fully indulge in the relaxation and tranquility of a vacation. I have witnessed the hotel’s growth and transformation over the years and wish to continue accompanying the Mangrove Tree Resort on its journey forward. I look forward to the hotel's continued refinement and the unlocking of more novel and exciting experiences. I anticipate returning next summer for another rendezvous with the mountains and sea. After reading many reviews, I chose this hotel, and my overall experience was excellent. The front desk staff, other employees, and the concierge were all warm, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive to every request. The hotel is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the breakfast spread is rich. It's also convenient to order food delivery. The front desk gave me a high-floor room with a fantastic view; I could see the sea right from the window. On a clear day, I could even catch a stunning sunset from the balcony. Evening strolls by the sea were lovely, with the sea breeze and the sound of the waves being very therapeutic. For my vacation next year, I'll definitely be back to this hotel to relax by the sea.

The hotel's design offers great privacy, enveloped by a tropical garden, providing a tranquil escape from the bustling world. The public pool has beautiful scenery, and with few people around, it's perfect for a relaxing swim. The service details are impeccable; the shuttle operates freely within the resort, making getting around very convenient. They even deliver takeout to your room, which is fantastic! The room was spotless, well-equipped, and the bedding was comfortable. Overall, it was a superb experience, definitely worth coming back for again and again.
