AAnonymous UserWe were traveling with my mom, that was our first travel to China. Booked this hotel as it was on of few options with dinners, far from crowded Sanya city or Dadonghai area. Anyways, let's start with some positive points:
1. Good breakfasts, very diverse, tasty, can find lots of variations of both asian cusine and european.
2. Helper service via Wechat. Millie thanks a lot for your help.
3. Beach was very close and there were sunbeds and umbrellas, which was nice, as wather was really hot.
4. Located in new developed area, which has nice parks and places nearby, like Bugenvillia park or Shopping Mall in just walking distance.
5. Water was provided and towels were changed daily.
6. Sea view from balcony and hotel room was awesome.
What is definitely I fwlt like is that hotel and services there are not for long stay. Our stay was 10 nights and 9 days. Also we reserved with dinner option...which was not the best idea.
Moving to some questionable parts:
1. Dinners: general option is chicken coconut pot, which a soup with chicken and veggies plus you can go and grab some salads, rice, fruits and they give you coconut dessert. It's fine if you eat it for few times, but not for 9 dinners. So we asked our helper if there are any options. There were 3 sets we can swap, which is fried chicken with rice, soup, bread and fruits; spicy chicken; pork legs. I would say this, chicken is not very tasty there, the skin is too thick, not a lot of meat and it's dry.
2. Gym was awful because the amount of mosquitoes (as somwtimes windows are opened) and that i never got to gym with air conditioner turned on (i had to switch it on and wait till at least temperature drops a little bit), it's 27 °C in gym where you have to sweat and workout, it's absolutely insane.
3. Communication was very difficult, almost no one understands English. When we checked out, no one helped us with luggage lifting to taxi car 🫠
4. Cleaning was not very good. We run out of body wash and i intentionally opened a bottle so the cleaning lady will notice and refill it - nah, 3 days it was just left like that. I don't think our bed sheets were ever changed through all 10 days. Mirrors were spotted, as well as balcony glass fence.
5. Overall room inconveniences: Sewage in bathroom was bad because of those marble squares blocking water running down, we had to lift them so water will go away. There was no toilet brush in the toilet room, we bought one in a supermarket, no air freshener so god forbids doing our nasty business as the smell is gonna be all over the room. The room is for 2 ppl, why there would be only one chair on balcony I don't really understand. There is so much space.
To sum up, this hotel might be a good choice for short stay, for long stay probably not the best option.

GGuest UserHaving experienced the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay, and considering our itinerary, I decided to try the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay. The day before our check-in, Kaylee from guest relations proactively contacted me to confirm the details and made thoughtful arrangements for us. 👍
On the day of our check-in, it was pouring rain in Haitang Bay. We were stuck with our luggage in the duty-free shop, watching the rain show no signs of stopping. I contacted Kaylee to ask if the hotel could send someone to pick us up. Kaylee informed me that the hotel didn't have vehicles that could go to the duty-free shop. However, the hotel staff later sent umbrellas for us, helped us move our luggage to the hotel's side entrance, and then the hotel shuttle took us to the lobby. 👍
The hotel lobby is much larger than the InterContinental Sanya Dadonghai, and the overall scale feels comparable to the Westin Wanning/Lingshui.
The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The fruit was delicious, and the room was equipped with Baishui Mountain mineral water, with Pure Enjoyment still water for refills. During our stay, whenever I contacted Kaylee, she responded immediately and acted quickly, even when she was off duty, which was impressive! So nice! 👍
Before coming, I learned that the hotel has a large fish tank with many fish, including sea turtles and manta rays. So, I took my child to the viewing tunnel on B2. My child was deeply fascinated by the fish, especially when they saw a giant grouper. My child blurted out, ”Look, fish 2.0!” I was puzzled, and my child explained it was like ”oil tanker 2.0,” with a bunch of smaller fish (like planes) following it. 🤭 We also saw a mermaid show. However, due to the distance of the performance area and limited visibility at the bottom of the tank, we could only see silhouettes. Fortunately, there were pictures of the mermaid show on the tunnel wall, which allowed me to explain it to my child in detail. The entire tunnel wall was covered with科普资料 (scientific information) about various fish, allowing for both viewing and learning. 👍 The tunnel also had multiple observation windows, so you could find your best viewing angle. 👍
The hotel boasts a vast lawn. Looking out, the skyline, the ocean, the greenery, and the lawn were truly refreshing. 👍
The waves in Haitang Bay are indeed strong and powerful, far exceeding those in Wanning and Lingshui. The beach quality is much better than Yalong Bay. We even encountered crabs during the day. 🤗
The breakfast restaurant was spacious, with ample seating. Even during peak hours, we didn't see guests waiting in line. The breakfast spread was rich, and they even offered specialty Xinglong coffee.
The lobby staff were enthusiastic and all smiles. Seeing us with our luggage, they proactively helped us move it. 👍

CChuqiuyangguangWhat truly sets Banyan Tree Sanya apart is its unparalleled privacy. Each standalone villa is enveloped by lush greenery, creating a natural barrier, and features its own private pool and courtyard plunge pool, offering an exclusive and tranquil space. We had a dedicated 24-hour butler, Zheng Delin, who was incredibly responsive to all our needs. For our anniversary, he even arranged a complimentary room setup, which was a lovely touch and added to the special occasion. The resort boasts a secluded private bay, with hardly any outside visitors. The sunsets over the ocean in the evening were romantic and therapeutic, and the happy hour at the beach bar created a fantastic atmosphere. Every room is equipped with Banyan Tree's signature aromatherapy toiletries, and upon check-in, we received a special welcome gift and fresh fruit. The floating afternoon tea experience was exceptional. The resort's buggies are available for pick-up and drop-off at any time, ensuring a smooth and uncrowded experience. It's truly a luxurious choice for couples on their honeymoon or anyone looking for a relaxing escape, far from the hustle and bustle of crowds.

Kkathy6699I've visited Sanya many times, and if you're not planning on swimming in the ocean, Atlantis Sanya in Haitang Bay is the perfect choice. The waves in Haitang Bay are strong and there are rip currents, so swimming in the sea isn't allowed. However, the hotel offers a waterpark, aquarium, C Show, dolphin encounters, and sea turtle encounters, ensuring your schedule is packed every day. The C Show is complimentary for two during your stay, and all other activities offer unlimited access. Plus, our room came with a butler, Xiaoma, who was always available to help with any issues 👍. During our stay, I lost my ID at the waterpark, and a staff member named Ken found it and contacted me immediately to return it 👍. The hotel has two breakfast restaurants, and the breakfast here is much better than all the hotels in Yalong Bay 👍. All rooms have sea views with an open panorama facing Wuzhizhou Island. The biggest advantage is the high floors, which make swimsuits dry quickly 👍. I love swimming and playing in the water, so I always bring at least two swimsuits. Here, my swimsuit dried in just 30 minutes 👍! Next time, I'll try staying in a Royal Club room...

CChenqiyuezailvxingThe butler service at Grand Hyatt Sanya was incredibly thoughtful. Upon arrival, we were given two coconuts and a welcome fruit platter, which was a lovely gesture. They also upgraded us to a Deluxe Seaview King Room with an amazing view. The room itself was super spacious and comfortable. The hotel has three pools; they're quite shallow, making them perfect for kids, though not ideal for someone tall like me. Still, it's great if you're traveling with family. The private beach has a bar and music – it's so relaxing to just lie there, spaced out with a drink. The resort grounds are huge, so expect to walk at least 10,000 steps daily, but thankfully there are electric carts (6-8 seater and 4-6 seater) for transfers every 7-8 minutes. Walking takes only about 5-6 minutes, so it's quite convenient. The only downside is how hot it gets during the day; outdoor activities are really only comfortable for a couple of hours in the morning and evening. Breakfast was incredibly rich, with a full spread of Chinese and Western options, an overwhelming variety of fruits, and even Shakshuka – I couldn't eat it all! Overall, it's a perfect place for a relaxing family getaway!

GGuest UserOverall, it's a great hotel, as expected from a Marriott property, located right next to luxury hotels like the Grand Hyatt, JW Marriott, and Atlantis. Getting to the beach is super convenient, though the waves at Haitang Bay are quite strong, making it unsuitable for swimming. While the facilities aren't brand new, they are well-maintained. There's a free shuttle bus to the duty-free shop, which is very handy. The staff were excellent throughout, with our butler, Tudou, providing incredibly thoughtful service. We had a couple of minor issues during our stay, but they were all resolved smoothly and promptly. It's also very convenient for visiting Wuzhizhou Island, and the nearby snack street is fantastic, offering everything from Zao Po Cu hotpot to coconut chicken. The breakfast spread is quite varied, with local specialties like Hou'an noodles and pickled rice noodles available every day. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance!

GGuest UserThe room was quite peaceful, facing the sea with a beautiful view. However, we had to keep the dehumidifier on constantly, and it happened to be an exceptionally humid few days during our stay. A huge thank you to Chris for their meticulous service! They added me on WeChat a day in advance, sent restaurant recommendations and local attraction routes near the hotel. During our stay, any help we needed was met with a quick response. After checking in, we went straight to have 'zaopo cu' hot pot, and while we were eating, Chris brought us our room card, and our luggage had already been delivered to our room – truly appreciate it! Because it was so hot, we spent most of our days at the hotel. The Chinese restaurant on the G floor was excellent; the shrimp, fish, and soups were all delicious. They even gave us salted egg yolk zongzi for the Dragon Boat Festival. The dessert shop opposite the front desk was also good; the 'qingbuliang' (a local dessert soup) was better than the one we made ourselves at breakfast, haha. Housekeeping was also very timely with daily cleaning. The swimming pool didn't have arm floats for adults, but luckily, I brought my own swimming ring and just needed to inflate it there.

GGuest UserThis is a courtyard-style hotel, beautifully situated halfway up the mountain. Robert checked us in with excellent and incredibly patient service, explaining all the hotel facilities and nearby attractions. I was extremely pleased with the room upon entering; it was wonderfully cool and comfortable because the air conditioning had been turned on in advance. The room was also very spacious, and the cleanliness was top-notch. Any service we needed was promptly delivered by staff, and even our takeaways were brought to the room by a robot! The hotel felt very safe and secure. I saw a swimming pool below my room, but unfortunately, my itinerary was too packed to enjoy it. I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance.

GGuest UserExtremely satisfied with this hotel, it's definitely a hidden gem in Yalong Bay offering incredible value for money! The best thing about this hotel is how convenient it is to go for a swim at the beach, and the public beach area is also beautiful. The 'glass sea' in Yalong Bay is truly stunning and so clear! On my first day swimming, I saw little fish swim past me! What an incredible experience! The breakfast was also very good! I will definitely be back to this hotel!!

GGuest UserOur stay at Wanda Realm during this Sanya trip far exceeded our expectations! The hotel is situated in a prime location in Haitang Bay, just a few minutes' walk from the pristine white sand beach, and the ocean views are absolutely stunning. We booked a sea-view room, and the scenery was fantastic, plus the room was spotless. The breakfast spread was also very generous. Our butler, Linna, provided exceptional service as well. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay.
