It's more like a place for a weekend getaway, sitting on the terrace and having breakfast, with the rolling mountains in front of you, overlooking the main palaces and manors of Sintra. The breakfast is rich, especially the bread is still hot and tastes great, it is said to be ordered from a village workshop. 10 minutes walk from the center and the restaurant recommendations are great. There is free parking. It seems that the cities in Portugal are not easy to drive in the city. It climbs uphill and downhill for a while. If you drive by yourself, you can park your car at the hotel and walk or Uber to attractions and restaurants. The hotel service is also very patient and provides the help you need. If it is summer, you can also swim in the beautiful outdoor.

Casa do Valle offers a home away from home setting in the Sintra area. I like that you can walk to town in 10 minutes up hill and it is down hill back to the hotel. Rooms had balconies and views. It was very comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful.

Really lovely location in the valley and staff is wonderful, friendly greeting and helpful tips! Really appreciated our superior room with a beautiful view of the palace and the castle. Always glad to have a kettle and good coffee/tea options provided in the room. Also appreciated this shared kitchen and enclosed eating/work space area. Internet access was good. As noted by others, the cold breakfast is fairly ordinary and quickly redundant if you stay more than a few days. They are spot on with delivering the basket to your door on exactly the time you pick. I would recommend this place to others, yet would note that it is not for people who don’t like steps or a short but steep-ish walk into town with a cobblestone sidewalk right next to cars.

Difficult to get there and without the car is quite tiering. Problems with arranging the taxi.
The staff is not flexible and did not interest much in our comfort. Very nice lady during the checkout at least - thank you for your kindness.
Breakfast was delivered to the room which was great however it was not much.
Beautiful views and a calm area - that is what we expected and that was the reason for the booking.
Hospitality could be better.
Sintra is a very commercial place with a nice historical heritage but you can miss the Portuguese spirit that you can experience in Lisbon or Algarve.

Hard to find driving, the sign is a tile in the wall and difficult to see. Google gets you there and then you need to look for the tile. Only 500 meters from the National Palace and central tourist area. Quiet location, nice views.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooms were incredibly cozy, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. What stood out to me the most was their attention to detail – everything was just perfect. Plus, the view from the hotel was simply amazing. It’s evident that the people who run this place have a genuine love for what they do. Highly recommended!
