This is about the only option for reasonably priced and reasonably comfortable lodging in Sao Tome. The location is not ideal for walking and the rooms are bare boned. Be sure to organize breakfast plans in advance. It looks like a buffet, but it’s only for those who have reserved it. All in all it’s not a bad choice for those who don’t want to pay resort prices.

Très correct dans le cadre d'un compromis prestation / prix / localisation. Hôtel quasi central permettant de rayonner à pied pour découvrir la Capitale. Chambre propre avec une climatisation très efficace. Salle de bains très petite, chambre petite quand occupée à 3. Personnel d'accueil sympathique. Petit déjeuner correct sans être "waouh", le suivi et réapprovisionnement est peu efficace.

Lugar calmo, com excelente acolhimento. Tem tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia serena. Bem cuidado, limpo, harmonioso. Tem uma fábrica de chocolate, o chocolate é delicioso. Bem localizado! Recomendo!!!

We stayed the last 3 days of our trip to São Tomé at Sweet Guesthouse and we were impressed by this place. It is located about a 15 minute walk to the center of São Tomé City, it's cozy and very clean. Our room had a/c, private bathroom and hot water. We also had breakfast here - with good coffee, bread, fruits, egs and excellent juice. It took us a while to find out how to get to city center but once we learnt the way it took us less than 15 minutes to reach downtown. On the last day of our stay we left our luggage by the reception after check-out (which is 12:00) and went out to enjoy our last moments in STP. Then we came back to the Guesthouse changed and took for the airport - we were allowed to use the bathroom even though we had already check-out. I would recommend this place if you want to stay close to the city center of São Tomé City.

I didn't meet the owners but the staff were always friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay for business and would definitely consider staying here again. It would have been very helpful if the hotel information sheet in the rooms had informtaion about when the reception was open, details about the power availability during the day (none if the public power fails) and the reception itself had this and accurate information about the hotel wifi stuck on the window for when it's closed!

Ottima soluzione posizionata nel quartiere prossimo al centro (circa 1 km) che si raggiunge a piedi in pochi minuti. A 10 minuti di taxi dall'aeroporto. Molto pulito e moderno, con molte camere di nuova costruzione, parti comuni godibili e uso cucina. Le camere doppie in generale non hanno TV e frigo ma AC e doccia calda, tutto nuovo, pulito e ben funzionante. Servizio efficiente e gentilissimo. Wifi poco funzionante in camera, ma bene nelle parti comuni e reception. La camera doppia con bagno varia da 55 a 73 € + tasse di soggiorno (3,10 € a testa), a seconda dei periodi inclusa ricca colazione, (uova, frutta, cereali, dolci, the e caffè, succo fresco). Servizio da e per l'aeroporto a 14 €, decisamente caro. Nell'hotel è presente una cioccolateria e molti artisti locali espongono le loro opere in giro per le parti comuni. Mi sembra un ottima soluzione come base per visitare l'isola.

Wir haben die letzte Nacht unseres Urlaubs in Sao Tome im Sweet Guesthouse verbracht. Unser Zimmer war ein kleiner einfacher Raum mit Bad, sauber, mit Klimaanlage und gut funktionierendem WLAN. Leider ist das Gästehaus sehr hellhörig. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist ausgesprochen freundlich, spricht gutes Englisch und ist sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war ganz lecker (Brot, Butter, Marmelade, Omelette, Saft, Früchte). Nach dem Checkout konnten wir unser Gepäck hinter der Rezeption lassen. Leider ist nicht durchgehend jemand da. Für eine Nacht am Anfang oder Ende einer Sao Tome-Reise ist das Gästehaus in Ordnung.

Stayed at Sweet Guest House a total of 7 days in November 2021. Big and clean rooms that are cleaned every day. Very friendly and helpful staff. I loved the social area on top since there are not so many places to stay out at night in Sao Tome. Highly recommended!
