The local staff were very friendly and attentive, which was impressive.
It's also a great place to relax by the pool without sightseeing. You can drink local Sao Tome beer at the bar.
There were also some good restaurants within walking distance.

One of the best hotels in São Tomé and Príncipe. The breakfast is rich and the parking is very convenient. The attractions are right outside the door. The security is very good and there is beach access.

I understand that Sao Tome and Principe is a country that's in economic transition but this hotel's 5 star rating is really insulting. The rooms are old, the food is always a terrible buffet, and the hotel reception staff is just not up to par. The wait staff in the restaurant and housekeeping staff are super lovely. I only stay at this hotel because my work makes me for security purposes but I wish I could stay anywhere else but here. It's really a 3 star hotel and does not meet expectations.

Um hotel num local lindo em cima do mar e um Staff que nos faz sentir em família e em casa. Foi a primeira vez e ajudaram-nos dentro e fora do hotel. Because the pool at the Pestana Miramar hotel was out-of-action, we could use the pool at Pestana São Tomé. The hotel was clean and attractive, and so was the pool. Swimming was slightly inhibited by another guest having introductory scuba sessions in the pool. The main worry was poor service by the pool. We rarely saw a waiter and, after we ordered a beer, nothing was delivered for almost an hour!

The customer service was amazing from start to finish. Letiviama in particular made our trip very special - she was knowledgeable, welcoming, attentive and exceptionally helpful! The location of the hotel was also good and it was very convenient being able to exchange Euros € for the local currency at the reception desk!
