The hotel is located in the north of the island in a small village, so keep that in mind when booking it

Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich einmalig. Einmalig, weil es das einzige Hotel im Ort ist. 4 Sterne sind vorbei. 2 tun es auch: Die Zimmer sind used. Das Bett riecht nach dem Schweiss des Vorschläfers. In der Minibar nur 2 Gläser sonst gähnende Leere. Im Bad fault die Tür vor sich hin, die Beleuchtung verdient den Namen nicht. Der Haartrockner ist ein Witz. Lachen konnten wir nicht. Der Innenpool ist soweit in Ordnung. Aber im Raum befindet sich eine Theke, wenn man hinter diese schaut, wird einem übel. Verschmutzt ist untertrieben. So, jetzt zum Essen: Frühstück eher englisch , grob geschnittenes Obst, Kaffee ☕️ war ekelhaft, Nescafe mit dicker Schaumkrone, Nein, keine Crema! Runde Plastikspiegeleier und kaputte harte Eier in der Schale. Abendessen: Der 1. Tag war super. Tolles Essen, Fisch, kalter Braten, Salate. Was dann kam in den nächsten Tagen war nur scheusslich. Fischmatsche, zähes Fleisch, Fisch mit 1000 Gräten und immer die selben Salate. Alles in allem ohne Gewürze. Nicht empfehlenswert! Das Personal ist nett, die können nichts dafür.

Wir kamen spontan in das Hotel und fragten nach einem Zimmer. Hierbei wurde uns gesagt, dass es nur noch sea- view Zimmer gäbe und diese 105€ kosten würden. Als wir kurz überlegten, wurde uns ein primitives Bed and Breakfast- hostel geraten. Anschließend schauten wir noch einmal über ********** nach dem o.g. Hotel. Hier wurde uns ein Mountain- view Zimmer mit den gleichen Konditionen für 77€ angeboten. Im Endeffekt haben wir ein Zimmer ohne Sea- view bekommen und der Föhn war eine Katastrophe. Zudem waren Ameisen im Zimmer. Dementsprechend war noch nur die Ambiente katastrophal sondern auch der Service für ein 4 Sterne Hotel. Wir haben uns aufgrund des Umgangs an der Rezeption sehr diskriminiert und abgewertet gefühlt. Nur weil wir in Wanderschuhen spontan nach einem Zimmer fragten.

Une vue splendide sur l’océan, orientée vers le couchant côté restaurant et levant côté chambre. Personnel très agréable et serviable. La location d’une voiture est indispensable pour une totale autonomie lors des excursions. Le séjour fut dépaysant et reposant. L’hôtel est vaste, la restauration correcte, nous recommandons. Ci-joint une vue de la terrasse de la chambre.

We couldn’t believe how wonderful this hotel was. Exactly like all photos, views amazing! Everything is very spacious and very clean. Staff were wonderful. Food was excellant, Everything you could imagine for a buffet breakfast and the a la carte also which wasn’t expensive. Hotel is in the little village, lovely to walk around but not much there. Quiet side of the island. private transfer from airport approx 40 mins. However, bus stop outside the entrance. which can take you to Funchal, very cheaply and you get a lovely journey through the mountains stopping at all the pretty villages. Just allow a couple of hours! The roads and signs around are really good but nearly half the journeys are through very nice tunnels! We didn’t hire a car but went on Jeep Safaris which were great fun. They advise going on guided walks through the Levadas. All in all a wonderful holiday

Très bon séjour à Madère, en particulier grâce à notre hébergement dans cet hôtel. le personnel est très accueillant, les lieux très propres, les chambre spacieuses et bien meublées. La demi pension est correcte, mais la diversité des buffets exceptionnelle (2 viandes +1 poisson par service). Sur 8 jours, il n'y a pas eu de redondance de menu. L'endroit est magnifique, les installations situées dans l'hôtel (piscine int. et extérieure, jacuzzis, etc. ) très bien entretenues. Rien à dire !! A si ... le papier de toilette type leader price à une feuille :) trop drôle pour un hôtel de cette catégorie. Je recommande vivement cet hébergement.

Bel hôtel, emplacement au top, vue magnifique Vastes équipements disponibles Malheureusement un jacuzzi beaucoup trop froid Chambre confortable Manque d entretien, Notamment les mauvaises herbes sur la terrasse Bonne literie Nourriture très moyenne, surtout les plats chauds. 2nd night on the island was on this side. Small village of Sao Vicente beautifully situated on the coast. Beautiful outdoor swimming pools (still too cold in March). The hotel is very outdated but clean and well maintained. Breakfast is simple but fine. Being early in the season, the hotel was almost deserted. There wasn't much to do in the evening. There was a bar. Location is fine
