Tropical Beach Resorts - Sarasota

Having stayed at beachfront resorts along Florida’s Gulf Coast, I was a little concerned that I’d miss the direct ocean views at Tropical Beach Resort. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not. This property is exceptionally well maintained and the front desk service is excellent. We arrived after the office closed and were left everything we needed to help us locate our room. The two pools are lovely and pool noodles, etc. are available. There are several gas BBQs located around the property for guest use. A small grocery store and several good restaurants are just a short walk away. Our studio room included a full size refrigerator, stove and apar**ent sized dishwasher along with a king bed, which we found quite comfortable. The bathroom was compact but acceptable. A 2 minute walk along a private lane and stone walkway leads you to the softest, flour-like sand I’ve ever seen. Crescent Beach is nothing short of phenomenal. The beach chair situation was a little annoying but given that we stayed for 10 nights, we elected to purchase our own chairs and sit where we were permitted. However, this would not deter us from visiting Tropical Beach Resort again.

We stayed for one night (at least one less then needed) at this lovely little resort, in a king bedroom with full kitchen. Although slightly difficult to find in a maze of different resorts and owners, the place was well kept and amenities great. There is a small pool area and easy access to the beach (free toys available to borrow). Service and friendliness was also great and the price point, although quite expensive, is still better than many alternatives at the key. It's also a short walk from different bar and dining options. The only small thing we had to put our fingers on, was that with a relatively low ceiling and the fan even lower, we felt that it was slightly risky, so we kept it off while people were awake in the room. Nevertheless, the resort is well recommended!

Nice resort with very friendly staff. Bring eye mask, the lighting is very bright and overwhelms the blinds.

Wonderful stay. Perfect location. It was a short walk to the beach. And we ate at an amazing restaurant called ‘Miguel’s’. Highly recommend!!!

We have stayed in several Gulf Coast facilities. TBR has become our new favorite. Our visit Anniversary was brief this year due to budget & timing but next year will be our 10th! So we’re already planning to spend more time and visit Sarasota attractions.

I highly recommend Tropical Beach Resort. It’s about a 10 minute drive from the main entrance at Siesta Key but has a private access on site. We had the best stay!!

Great location on Siesta Key walkable to restaurants and shops. Quiet and great pool heated to 85 degrees! Highly recommend staying here.
