Homewood Suites by Hilton Sarasota Lakewood Ranch

Every February we do the "Hilton Hopper" which is using our Diamond Points to stay at Hiltons all over Florida. This HS in Lakewood Ranch is our "go to" Sarasota Hotel. The rooms and service are excellent. The breakfast and social hour are the very best. Nancy, at the front desk, is one of the most professional, helpful people we have dealt with. We upgraded to a huge double bed room but all rooms are excellent. The hotel is located on the edge of a shopping center with many fine restaurants and shops to walk to. Also, a park with a lake that you can walk or bike to. This was our 3rd year at this hotel and it was one of the best.

Customer service was 5 star. Samantha at the front desk was wonderful as were all the other associates. The hotel was clean, up to date, and comfortable. If ever back in the area, this is my go to hotel. Pool was great and clean, beds were fantastic, and breakfast was convenient.

Amazing location in University Tech Center - this is where you want to be. Welcoming staff and incredible breakfast spread every morning. Rooms are spacious and very nice. Pool was great. Can’t say enough - just a top notch hotel.

Well, it may have taken us over a year to return, but this lovely hotel was better than ever. Often that is not the case, especially with we two fussy travelers. But the quiet and calm location, light and spacious suite and delightful breakfast environment sets this Homewood Suites by Hilton apart from other hotels in the area. We have stayed at several and this little oasis is considerably nicer, though we prefer a king room to the 2 queens we had last night. The room was lovely but we would have been more comfortable with the larger bed. So next time we will reserve earlier rather than last minute as this hotel appears to be growing in popularity. And it's no wonder. The staffing as well as the interior design is warm and welcoming. Most appreciated.

Super clean and well maintained hotel! Lots of staff to keep up the grounds and hotel. Smack dab in the thick of the UTC shopping district. Clean rooms. Modern and well appointed.

We were only here for one night. It was a great stay, but with only one problem----no hot water in the shower for the one morning we were there. I debated whether this should bring my rating down, but figured it was just a "one-off" thing based on my experience with Homewood's and how good this hotel is otherwise. Hotel staff addressed the issue as soon as we told them. This six floor hotel is right off I-75, but back behind the mall area, so there was no road noise in our room. It's on the back side of the huge upscale shopping/restaurant area in the University Town Center commercial development. With the mall plus the great number of surrounding retail stores, this development is one of the largest conglomeration of stores we've seen anywhere. It's just a walk/short drive to a great variety of restaurants. Our top floor two-queen suite was just fine (except for shower issue). It had a separate sitting room, kitchenette, two large TV's, etc. We did have a bit of an issue figuring out how to work the bedroom ceiling fan/light, but no big deal. Parking is free right outside. The large outside pool area is more like what you might see at a resort. They also have a very good fitness room and free bikes to ride. They apparently pride themselves in having more offerings at the breakfast buffet than other Homewood's. We did notice some of these extra things, although they weren't important for us. But breakfast was good here. Staff were extra friendly. Overall, great location, really nice hotel, perhaps the best Homewood we've ever stayed in (among many)

Everything was excellent…wish I could give it more than five stars! My husband and I were there for four nights end of February. Staff was courteous and helpful, breakfast was well stocked, Weds happy hour was beyond expectations, hotel was newer and very clean with nice pool and outdoor patios. Location was also excellent..could walk to several restaurants and stores and the adjacent park had a nice walking trail. We will be back!

Excellent hotel! And so conveniently located by The Mall at UTC! We love staying here and will always stay here whenever we’re visiting.
