We booked our stay at this Marriott branded property a week before arrival. Shannon checked us in and was extremely pleasant. We had told them we would be arriving very late but when we had a change of plans and arrived early afternoon, a phone call about an hour prior to arrival got us our room early. That was very helpful as we were headed to races at a nearby track. We booked a king suite and it was very nice, clean, and comfortable. And when I say clean, it was spotless. Thank you housekeeping! The reason we switched to this hotel at the last minute was due to their policy of service animals only. I was able to be guaranteed a room that had not had animals in it. We have always considered Marriott hotels our first choice when traveling, with Hilton following. Hilton has switched to 100% pet friendly rooms, meaning they do not save any rooms as pet free. We have had terrible luck recently with terrible smells in rooms and on beds at Hilton, therefore our switch to this Springhill Suites. Marriott will have our business going forward and we will definitely stay at this hotel next year. And one extra note - Parking is in a garage next to the hotel. I was a bit worried about this but it proved to be very nice. My husband actually commented he preferred the garage vs arriving back late at note searching for a parking space in a regular hotel lot.
