Magnifique hôtel plein de charme situé à deux pas du centre-ville de Saumur. Laissez-vous enchanter par des chambres spacieuses au style d’antan dans un environnement de rêve. Le personnel, très attentif et minutieux est à l’image de l’établissement que je vous recommande les yeux fermés. Un grand merci à la patronne pour cet accueil chaleureux.

This has to be one of my favourite hotel stays ever. Flore and Jeremy were fabulous hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The rooms are gorgeous - we had a large room with castle views. The decor is stunning throughout the hotel . It was so quiet during the stay - it felt like we were in the middle of the country rather than in the town centre. The spa is definitely worth a visit if you have the time. Again beautifully decorated and tranquil. The stay completely exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Saumur. I can’t wait to visit again when I am next in saumur.

Le château est absolument magnifique, dès notre arrivée, nous étions sous le charme et a chaque instant où nous posions notre regard en extérieur comme en intérieur, nous y découvrions un détail des plus délicat. Nous avons séjourné plusieurs jours et l'accueil et l'attention reçu tout au long du séjour était toujours personnalisé et chaleureux. Avant de s'installer dans la suite, nous avons pu profiter d'une visite VIP des lieux et découvrir son histoire. La suite était très confortable et d'une propreté irréprochable comme l'espace détente où nous avons pu profiter du SPA. Nous avons passé un séjour mémorable dans cette demeure sublime avec la sensation d'y être comme a la maison, un environnement a la fois intime, mémorable et enchanteur.

If you want to have the experience of staying in a real chateau this is the place, very beautiful, historic, family service, wonderful decor, it also has a cellar with great sparkling wines. The room is comfortable with period furniture, the breakfast with personalized service and full of tips for exploring the Loire Valley region.

superbe maison qui a gardé un esprit de famille, très bien placée au centre de Saumur et à la campagne en même temps, calme, avec un immense jardin au coeur de la ville. Très belle chambre et salle de bains. petit déjeuner parfait. accueil très sympa des propriétaires. nous reviendrons, il y a tellement de choses à voir dans le coin et l'hôtel est tellement bien. A recommander sans hésitation.

We had a superb stay in the Chateau la Marquise. Our hosts were very warm and welcoming. The Chateau and grounds were so peaceful and full of character. The fresh local produce at breakfast was perfect. We absolutely loved our short stay and will definitely be back again sometime in the future.

Accueil très chaleureux et pro à la fois. Nous nous sommes sentis comme si nous étions invités par des amis. L'hôtel particulier de style art nouveau est absolument magnifique. La chambre et la salle de bains étaient très confortables et d'une propreté irréprochable. Le petit déjeuner composé de produits frais était copieux et savoureux. La piscine très propre également nous a permis de nous rafraichir en ce mois d'octobre caniculaire. Nous étions en moto et nous avons pu nous garer gratuitement à l'intérieur de la propriété. Bref un séjour mémorable dans cette demeure chargée d'histoire. Un grand merci à Jeremy et à Flore, hôtes parfaits en tout point. Nous leur souhaitons le meilleur.

We were lucky enough to be booked into this property as part out our bike tour through the Liore Valley, and all I can say is: wow! I don't this there is anywhere else you can be made to feel like such royalty. The Chateaux is grand, we'll maintained, and beautiful. It sits on large, lush grounds and there are beautiful views through all the windows. Our room was very well appointed, clean, and quiet. Although we came during the shoulder season and the hotel was largely vacant, there was no expense spared at breakfast time, with a full spread put out full of luxurious local goodies. Best of all though, are the hosts. They went well out of their way to made sure we felt comfortable, and helped us navigate the area with our very limited (to non-existent) french. From reservations to helping us get to the train station, we were immediately greated with a friendliness that is hard to find on such travels. All in all, I very highly recommend this hotel. It offers a very unique and enjoyable experience that will leave us with happy memories for years to come.
