Our stay at this hotel left much to be desired. Upon arrival at 11 am (well before the 3 pm check-in), we didn’t expect to check in early but hoped for a warm welcome and a place to securely leave our luggage. Instead, we were met with an unfriendly reception and told, “You’re early.” To our disappointment, there was no luggage room, and we had to leave our bags in the small reception area at our own risk. This poor first impression set the tone for the rest of our stay. The rooms themselves were small and basic, lacking amenities like a full-length mirror, but they were functional for our needs since we didn’t spend much time in them. However, housekeeping was inconsistent. While the beds were changed and items moved around, the rooms never felt truly clean. Towels left on the floor for replacement were simply re-hung, and after three days, we had to request fresh towels ourselves. The most upsetting incident involved my husband’s expensive aftershave. Upon returning to our room one evening, there was a strong smell of it, yet the bottle was nowhere to be found. We suspect it was dropped and smashed by housekeeping, but there was no broken glass or remnants to confirm this. When we reported the issue to reception, the general manager visited our room, acknowledged the smell, and initially promised compensation. However, we later received an email stating we’d need to drive 30 minutes to file a police report, and the hotel ultimately refused to take responsibility or assist further. Overall, this stay was marred by poor customer service, lack of cleanliness, and unresolved issues. The unhelpful attitude from the staff and management left us frustrated and disappointed. I would not recommend staying here.
