If you want to ski without fuss this is a great place. Get the breakfast package. Ski rental on-site and free bus to the slopes. Couldn't be easier. Comfortable and staff are great.

We have just returned from spending a week in what is advertised as a 'charming' hotel, but turned out to be the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Various large school groups were staying there at the same time, leading to occasionally raucous times, with unsupervised children running up and down the spiral staircase, shouting at each other, often blocking the two staircases in the entrance area while waiting. Due to the unusual design of the building, the noise could be heard within our bedroom. Although the website says the bar is 'an ideal place to relax', this was generally impossible because of the noise generated. Some of the furniture is very dated, for example one of the legs is missing from one of the sofas! Wi-Fi is advertised as being available throughout the hotel, but didn't work inside our room (409), and despite mentioning this to the reception staff on two occasions, no-one bothered to let us know why it didn't work for the entire week. The food at breakfast time was excellent, with a wide range of pastries, cereals and cooked meals. However, evening meals were disappointing, as whilst there was a good range of cold food (meats, cheese, seafood etc.) the 'hot' food could only be described as tepid at best. I mentioned this to the manager, who said this was the first time anyone had complained. I have subsequently read numerous reviews commenting on this. The problem appears to be due to a lack of effective facilities to keep the food hot in the buffet area. Because of this, we decided to eat out on two occasions, at our expense. We were also disappointed at having to pay for water with evening meals €3 per bottle!), when it is freely available from the dispensers in the restaurant at breakfast time. Surprisingly, we weren't informed of the charge in advance, or at the time it was served. Also, coffee wasn't available in the restaurant in the evenings, and they wouldn't allow us to bring it up from the bar downstairs. Again, this was freely available with breakfast. The machines are deliberately switched off after breakfast. I can only assume this is to maximise profits. Finally, despite the website saying the bar is open 24 hours a day, it was only open from 8pm to midnight on weekdays. On a positive note, we received very helpful service from Sylvia on the reception desk, who always greeted customers with a smile.

Good Location and great as a base for skiing. About a 10 minutes walk to the Clotes lift or get the bus right outside up to the Sportina lift. The better restaurants and bars are a 5 minute walk away. Good Breakfast with plenty of hot/cold options. Did not try the evening food, but heard it was good. Reasonably priced bar with friendly staff.

Hotel quite nice but the following tarnished our ski trip: 1. Staff not particularly friendly, particularly bar staff who were actually either rude or too busy on phones to notice waiting customers. 2. Swimming Pool/Spa not even on hotel premises and they wanted to charge me 18 euros per person per day for its use. 3. Food in restaurant was below average, never very hot and very poor in presentation. Plates were not cleared very quickly causing a pile up on the table whilst we were still trying to eat. Our room was cleaned daily so full marks to housekeeper, other than that, I will certainly be recommending La Torre to anyone and will certainly not be returning. I look forward to hearing justification from the hotel management for my observations.

Just got back from a weeks skiing and stayed at La Torre! Had read the reviews before my visit and really struggle to reconcile the bad reviews with my experience. Yes the decor of the hotel is a little chintzy, by having been to Italy at lot over the years in some really quite expensive hotels I’ve come to realise this is just the way they do it. The room was really clean, warm and comfortable and the staff were absolutely fine. The hotel was a 5 minute walk to any amenities, so super easy to get around. There was a free ski locker and a free lift to and back from the slopes each day, which was a nice perk. Now to the food, I really struggle to understand any complaints in this regard, even for the fussiest eaters. Breakfast each day was extensive and tasty, salads, fruits, cereals, full English cooked breakfast, pancakes, toast, yoghurt, the list goes on. Similarly dinner was also amazing, salads, charcuterie, cheeses, bread, soups, roasted vegetables, a different series of pastas and risottos each night, followed by a different meat or fish course and 5 or 6 different desserts. Granted they didn’t do pizza, but that is because it’s northern Italy and it’s not authentically Italian-I guess they could cater to the non-Italian but honestly there was so many options it really didn’t bother me at all. Finally there was a large bar area with lots of seating for groups, which was nice to relax in. I’d happily stay here again and recommend to friends and family!

My daughter visited this hotel with her school on a ski trip . Her AirPods & money went missing from the room . The AirPods were showing their location in the hotel until the battery died . The hotel director has done NOTHING to help us . Originally he said he had found them , but changed his mind . Disgusting behaviour from the hotel staff. Unhelpful, lying and rude . DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL .
