This little gem of a place is about 10-20 minutes by car to the main towns of Aruba. It’s a sleepy little fishing village and the hotel has beach access with free use of kayaks and snorkel gear. There’s a communal kitchen while each room has a small fridge. Most of the restaurants nearby are a little pricy but you can find a few that are reasonable. The owners of the place are very approachable and helpful. The rooms are comfortable with efficient A/C. Can’t be beat for the price!

Very relaxing stay. The room and balcony had an awesome view of the Caribbean. The community kitchen was handy. Friendly staff and lots of water equipment for guests to use such as kayaks, snorkels, water shoes, etc. Will definitely return!

Great small resort located on quieter side of island, with only nine apartments. Rooms are clean but simple, with refrigerator and coffee maker. The property is right on the water. Plenty of lounge chairs, which are available to free for guests to use: snorkel equipment, kayaks, and floats. There is also a full community kitchen, gas grill, and outdoor dining room. Staff is welcoming and keep the property clean, and well maintained. A great little oasis!

Relaxing Island Atmosphere. If you like fancy high end resorts, go elsewhere. If you want sand in your toes, community style accommodations, water for snorkeling, kayaking, or swimming, then stay here. This is a small island styled resort that is so relaxed. Two excellent restaurants within short walking distance. Abundance of supermarkets close by, some are walkable. The location is more local community then resort community, which is my preference. The staff were incredibly nice and greeted me upon arrival. The rooms were clean and island styled. Water views from most rooms. A/C worked great when needed, but I usually had my balcony double doors open to feel the island breeze. Other guests were very friendly and sharing. I would definitely stay here again and start off each day sitting on the dock of the bay. Beautiful blue lights in the water made the dock a perfect place to relax at night.

Our 2nd visit to CRBA this year. Such a wonderful, relaxing, carefree paradise. It's not for everyone - spotty wifi; no hot water (not necessary); well south of the popular beach resorts; and, the rooms are a bit small. It defines Bohemian getaway. CRBA is charming for what it has, not for what it doesn't have. An excellent staff, magnificent sunsets, adjacent to two of the finest restaurants on Aruba, and an unmatched waterview a few barefoot steps away.

We're just back from a week in Aruba and stayed at Coral Reef and it was great! We traveled with our son (13) and our friends. We prefer to vacation away from the resort fray so chose Sanvaneta area. You definitely will want a car (but I think unless you plan to stay right in the area of your lodging/resort for your whole trip, everyone needs a car) to explore the island but there are a couple of small grocery stores within walking distance. We had a large two bedroom room with a kitchenette and it was perfect for us though the well-stocked community kitchen is a great option if you prefer a smaller room. They had kayaks and all sorts of beach/water toys to borrow as well as coolers for our scuba excursion days which was so helpful. It was easy to get in and out of the water at the little beach and dock area, which were wonderful for hanging out and meeting/chatting with other guests and there were tables in the courtyard for outdoor dinners the nights we carried in and/or cooked. The "no hot water" thing was not a thing at all...yes it's a bit cool at first but refreshing and not an issue for any of us. The only thing that caught us off-guard was that the restaurant is not just next door but literally shares the property so the evenings are not quiet. It's a very nice establishment but very busy all the time so a bit of a bummer that from 4-10:30PM every night you can't get away from the clubby-lounge music (though it's not overly loud) and people-noise. There are restaurant tables sharing the same small dock five feet from where we'd hoped to enjoy a peaceful sunset, which is sort of why we chose a smaller inn instead of a larger resort or hotel. However, we did not hear the restaurant at all from our room so sleeping was not an issue and by the third or fourth night we got used to the situation but just was not what we expected. Overall we had a wonderful experience...our hosts Erik and Jenny were responsive and communicative before our trip and Graciela and the team took great care of us (and our room tidy) while we were there.

I just got back from a quick trip, I flew in on a Wednesday and left Saturday. My husband wanted to stay near the water. When I say near the water he wanted to walk out and bam there is the water. He did not want the hotel, the air-bnb, the VRBO, the all inclusive resort to be across the street from the beach. Since it was a quick trip and we do not eat or drink a lot an all inclusive was out of the picture. This place got meh, review on Google and trip advisor but I couldn't find much on FB. This place meet the requirement of what my husband wanted and we were renting a car. I decided to book it. I got to say this place is was good. The only downside was that they didn't have hot water. They told me in advance that they had lukewarm water. Their definition of lukewarm verses mine is totally different. At home I like to take lukewarm water but their shower had no hint of warmth but it wasn't icy cold. My husband knew in advance and he dealt with it since we were only there for a short time he like take steaming hot shower. Each unit is different and is cater to what you are looking for. I got the two bedroom suite cause I wanted a kitchenette and I didn't want to share a bathroom. This place was clean and the owner lives downstairs, a housekeeper comes everyday to tidy up. Next door they own the Flying Fishbone, which is instagram and Tik Tok famous. Guest at the Coral Reef can get 10% off their stay. We took advantage of that. All in all the place was really nice but husband said he was one and done with Aruba but I can't wait to go back and show my cousin the island. Some people complain about the loud music I did not experience that at all I am light sleeper. The place had really good A/C and the bed was nice and firm. They offer use of the Kayak where you can kayak to glass island that how close it was. Their wifi was ok.

This was my first time to Aruba and I can honestly say I made a great choice. My room was squeaky clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Waking up to the waterfront each morning was my favorite part of the day. There is a safe to store your valuables, clean bedding, great AC, no bugs. My first night on the island I had a reservation for the flying fishbone and watched the sunset while having dinner. The showers were also refreshing after a hot day, I’d say they’re almost warm not freezing cold so don’t worry about the water. The communal kitchen was really convenient to heat up leftovers and the mini fridge in the room was convenient as well. After a long day it was nice to watch Netflix at night in the room. Zeerovers (which I think has some of the freshest seafood on the island) is only a few blocks down. If you do stay here you will need a rental car or take taxis to get to Eagle and Palm beach. There’s some great snorkeling on Baby Beach and the food at the beach bar there is great. I rented a car which gave me a lot of freedom to explore the island. In savaneta I felt safe and locals were friendly and a lot of them spoke English. I highly recommend coral reef if you’re looking for a quiet getaway but definitely rent a car.
