The entire hotel had an odor sort of like incense - not a good odor. The bathroom had mildew on the shower ceiling and there was no ventilation. The bed creaked and was very uncomfortable - sloped toward the middle of the bed. Pillows were lumpy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was expensive at $35/night but less than nearby hotels.

I was in Savannah for depositions. If I am being honest, Planters Inn was not my first choice as I usually stay within the Hilton family. But those hotels were all booked. I was a little apprehensive having seen a few bad reviews, but chose Planters Inn because it was the closest to where I needed to be. to be. In hindsight, I am glad the Hilton properties were booked. The hotel has much more character than the other guys. Yes, the property shows its age, but it is well maintained. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I am used to at much higher priced hotels. The staff, however, is what makes the Planters Inn a real gem. They were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond with a few late-night tasks I needed to complete in preparation for my work the following day. I plan to return to Savannah with my wife in the near future as tourists (I had no real time for sightseeing on his trip), and when I do I will be staying at the Planters Inn.

Beautiful well decorated place. Lovely to have water and coffee available. Very nice to have wine and cheese platters HOWEVER, we arrived at 6:35, checked in 6:38 and we were unable to get the wine or cheese. It was literally being packed away as we were checking in. It was so disappointing that they could not salvage a couple of glasses for us. Nice to be able to walk to the river and purchase our drinks.

Just spent a magical few days in Savannah at the Planter's Inn. The lobby was beautiful, the room was as well. I loved the history and architecture of the hotel itself. It's located in the center of everything and you can step out right into a beautiful picturesque green square. Be sure to stop by the lobby starting at 4:30 for complimentary wine and cheese. Listen to beautifully played piano, get to know other guests, and the lovely bartender Miss LaToya! Be sure not to miss out on the DELICIOUSLY AMAZING homemade chocolate chip cookies at the end of the happy hour! But while the architecture and surroundings and of course, happy hour were great, the real hidden gems are most definitely the staff! They helped my partner and I have the most magical, memorable time and by the end they felt more like close friends and family, rather than just employees. To John Earl, Marvin, Erick, LaToya, Joshua and Mike we see you, we love you and we can't thank you enough! If you want to get to know Savannah (the *real* Savannah) get to know John Earl. It's not hard because he is quite literally the sun the brightens the whole room! No rainy day can damper his beautiful spirit and I'm so grateful for that! You can't halo by smile when JE is around and his recommendations are always 10/10. But let us not forget his other half in front desk management, the calm yin to JE's yang Marvin. Could not name a better duo! You know when they're together you will be taken care of, no problem or question too big or small. Truly the best trip of our lives and it's all thanks to people like the team at Planter's Inn. We plan on returning as often as we are able! Thank you all so much!

We love, love, love Planter’s Inn. The people who work there are overtly friendly and welcoming and reflect the warmth of the Inn. We stay there every time we travel to Savannah and it is our home. It’s located in walking distance to all the places we enjoy. Love how it is the antithesis of a chain hotel.

A place of elegance in savannah at a reasonable price. Not for children or those expecting usb ports all over. Evening music and wine reception in period furnished lobby. Rooms small but old world style. Baths modern, lots of hot water. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Great location

A beautiful hotel right in the middle of everything. The staff is professional and caring, attentive to every detail. I especially enjoyed the kindness of the valets, always smiling and happy. They serve wine and cheese in the afternoon, and we had a very nice conversation with fellow Minnesotans. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet. The beds were a little too soft for my comfort, but everything else was great. We would not hesitate at all in another visit. They do a very nice job.
