Wonderful spot on the river walk. Spacious and filled with elegance. Definitely will stay here next time we are in Savannah.

A great location and view of the river from our room, and I t was such fun watching the huge cargo ships go past our window! The air in the room was fresh and the room stayed cool. Some slight freshening is needed (e.g. the bathroom door needs painting). There is a cigar shop below so smoke occasionally wafted in. We only had one hand towel in the bathroom and it was dirty and had hairs on it, but we were immediately supplied with new ones. Huge props to the young man who greeted us so warmly (wish I could remember his name) — he was so friendly, and carried all our HEAVY luggage up the stairs!

The hotel is very well located but the noise from the street was incredibly huge. The earplugs were not enough. The price is overrated.

Such a wonderful place to stay! From the staff to the location to the views to the service to the things to do and see nearby! The ONLY thing to be aware of is the noise from the street at night. We are not into the nightlife so had to use the provided ear plugs and sometimes those didn’t quite drown out the loud cars and people.

Overall this place was great. We had a King suite and it was very roomy — more like a small apartment. Furnished and decorated very nicely. It’s was convenient to all the main sites of Savannah and the unlimited water/soda was great. We also enjoyed the nightly wine and hors d’oeuvres. We did not have any noise problems as others have mentioned, however we were there Mon-Fri, so maybe that was why. It is right on the river walk so I can see where it could possibly be loud on weekend nights. They do provide a white noise machine in the bedroom.

My overall experience was outstanding. The room and clean and loved the decor. Every person with whom I came in contact with was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant dining experience was a 10 out of 10. We set up a video recorder and we still can't explain the ringing of a bell on two separate nights while we slept. We didn't hear with our ears, only during the playback. So there's that....I would definitely come back and stay at the 1790 Inn again. Great location too!

This is a cozy little hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is within walking distance to the historic area. We loved being able to watch the activity on the harbor right from our windows. We would stay there again.

This is a really historic inn. Our suite had original timbers, a window to the river and a sweet dessert waiting for us in the freezer! We would definitely come back.
