The room was renovated from an old factory building. It has both historical traces and modern style. It is fully equipped and clean. The surrounding area is suitable for leisure and relaxation. The service attitude is also good. I have stayed here twice and I like it very much.

The hotel by the Savannah River should be the best local hotel among the regular hotels. The only dissatisfaction is that the management is a bit messy. We have been deducting our credit card at random, and the fee has never been clarified. We enjoyed this property so much while staying for the night on our drive to Fla, that we booked to additional nights on the way back home. Sometimes it's the little things: cookies and prosecco on check-in, resort credit to be used at the many dining choices, turn-down service at night and sometimes it's the big things: a dinosaur skull or enormous chunks of glittering gems on display in the lobby or the immense stack from the original power plant preserved and centrally located in the hotel. It's a very unique and interesting property with comfortable rooms, a great staff and perfect location.
The one thing I thought the hotel and associated eateries could do better at would be to limit the amount of plastic cups, straws and utensils they used. Seemed everything was served with or in plastic. With this exception, I have nothing but good things to report on for our stay!

The lobby of the J.W. Marriott Plant Riverside (400 West River Street) is kind of like a combination natural history museum (with monumental geodes and a chrome dinosaur skeleton suspended from its atrium ceiling) and art gallery that is well worth a visit.

BUYER BEWARE! Rooms near the club have no warning or disclosure so we were forced to listen to the doosh, dooosh, doosh of the club until 3:15am! We paid for a room we cannot sleep in! It’s dishonest to take money from people and not disclose that information at check in or on the website.
