We recently visited the Kehoe House to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. After extensive research on the many wonderful accommodations available in Savannah, I picked the Kehoe based on its reviews and amenities. It did not disappoint!!!! First, let me say that the minute we walked into the door we received a huge welcome from the staff. The entire staff from front desk, kitchen and housekeeping were so very nice and accommodating. It was great to talk to them to hear their stories. When I asked if I could have one or each of the breakfast choices because I just couldn't decide, one staff member said, "you choose whatever you want. We are here to make your stay wonderful!" We stayed in the Johnny Mercer room, a second floor room that was absolutely gorgeous and had lovely views. The chairs were so nice to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee. We even had TWO verandas . One, off the bathroom, (a bit odd, but fun) was a small, private balcony just above the front door of the Inn. (I'm sure it was not a bathroom when the house was built!) This overlooked Colombia Square that had a sweet fountain. The other veranda was shared with another room. If the other room has guests sitting outside they can see into your room and vise versa. This only happened on one occasion and we just kept our drapes drawn. This is something to think about if you choose a room with shared verandas. It was a beautiful spot to have breakfast, which we did on our last morning. Many of the verandas can only be accessed though a window that may require a bit of ducking your head. Other verandas have a door, such as the one beside the Tybee Room. The bed was very comfortable and the linens and towels were what you would expect in an inn of this caliber. The room was spotless and had tasteful decor and not overdone or stuffy. The extra touch of cookies on our door at night was a special treat. There have been reviews mentioning the amenity fees. While I do think charging extra fees are becoming more and more prevalent in the hospitality industry, I do feel that the extras were worth the cost. First, parking was so convenient. We walked everywhere, but one day went to Tybee and it was nice to have the lot so close to the inn. The breakfasts were freshly prepared and you had many choices, and there was no limit on your choices. There are communal tables which some couples are not fond of, so please know there are other options such as the beautiful garden area off the kitchen balcony that has small tables. We had breakfast one day on the balcony just off the music room. That was so nice and quiet. And if you want to have breakfast in your room they will deliver with silver service. So many options! There were beverages from coffee, water, and soda available all day. The wine and cheese hour was very nice as they had both cheese and crackers and a hot and cold appetizer. This held us over one night for our late reservations for dinner out. Plus there were sev
