Aloft Savannah Downtown Historic District

The hotel is in a good local, near to the main spots. It.is possible to go walking and visit the places

Worst check in experience of my lift. No greeting, no signage, confusion on how to get into the building, the front desk agent couldn't/ wouldn't answer basic questions and suggested I cancel the reservation. No clue where to park, no signage that there is no parking. Valet guy was very rude. Very nervous leaving him my car. Total BS, uncomfortable situation.

Overall good. The valet guys were great. Keep in mind there is a 35 dollars a day to park there

It was an okay location. One issue i had was they never mentioned anything about paying for parking per day until i was ready to check out. And the amount charged at the bar on my receipt was not the amount taken from my wifes account.

Charisse is a true Gem! Super sweet personality and went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. Keep it up Charisse!! You ROCK! Please hire more quality people like this amazing woman. I hope you consider a raise and promotion to management, as she is a professional and great human.

Parking is not included and the only thing offered is valet at $35 per in/out. They charge everytime you go in and out which is absurd. Will never stay or recommend this property. Stay away from these crooks!

I am a Platinum Elite member with Marriott & this was my first ever visit to any Aloft hotel. This was a mini-vacay for 3 nights & my second visit to Savannah. I was able to get a top floor but there are no room upgrades at Aloft. Furnishings are modern & simplistic. No dresser (but there are drawers in an end table). No closet (but there is a small hangining rod by the room door with some hangers). Step-in shower was spacious but no shelf for setting a face cloth or bar soap on (I cannot use the mounted body wash, shampoo or conditioner due to skin sensitivity). Entrance doors are locked 24 hrs & you must use room key to enter hotel or enter through the parking garage (around the corner). There is a per night fee for parking your car in the connected garage & valet service (which we used). We only used our car once after we checked in since we walked almost everywhere else. Valets were all professional & courteous (as was front desk personnel). I did note that the elevators had expired service inspections (March 2023). I thought this was odd to be a year out-of-date. I could almost give some leeway if it was a month or two, but certainly not a whole year. Since this hotel is in the downtown historic district & on a corner, there is a lot of street traffic noise. Bring a rain machine so outside (or hallway) noise is not a distraction while sleeping.

The staff were all very sweet and accommodating, however our room was stuffy and hot, the refrigerator was noisy, and surrounding rooms were loud maybe due to poor insulation. Unfortunately it was my least favorite Aloft.
