The staff are very friendly and help, they made me feel very welcome. I came here on a "visa run", and they were very flexible in helping me with extending my stay ad late checkout as I was waiting for the visa approval. The buildings are neat and clean; everything is well maintained. It was very convenient to the old town being just 20 min stroll along the water front to get to the old town and markets. Sitting outside on the deck outside the restaurant was a very pleasant experience, and the restaurant provides excellent food.

Our corner room overlooked the river, offering a really nice view. The room was clean and the location was good, but the facilities were a bit old, so some things were broken. We had an early check-out, but luckily the attached restaurant opened at 7:30 AM, so we were able to grab some coffee and cake to go.

First of all, all the staff are totally unfriendly and even threatened my wife with the police just because I said what I thought, that the room stank of drains and the fridge was broken. To be honest, this is the last place I would recommend to anyone. The boss is so deceitful that he simply said I could cancel and get my money back. That wasn't true at all, as I didn't get a cent back. He never contacted me again about the situation. The whole hotel is a fraudulent rip-off. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there voluntarily, as it's absolutely disgusting and dirty. Just because someone tells me it's nice there, they must have been blind and have no idea what better hotels there are. I will definitely never go there again, nor will I travel there. I don't have to put up with that kind of thing, and I don't need it either. They should choke on the money they took from me for not having an overnight stay in this hotel. They aren't capable of serving really good food, everything tastes disgusting. I can be happy that I don't post any pictures here.

Nice Hotel. Fantastic location, directly next to Mekong River. Super friendly staff and really got food. We enjoyed our stay and would come back for a next stay at Savannakhet.
