Wij hadden een week geboekt en we hebben het er elke minuut naar onze zin gehad. Na een avontuurlijke rit naar boven (vooraf heel goed beschreven in een mail vanuit het hotel zelf ) werden we met open armen onthaald door een uiterst vriendelijke en hartelijke medewerkster aan de balie die ons oprecht welkom heette en ons meteen een thuisgevoel bezorgde. Onze kamer was tip top in orde en het adembenemende zicht was de rit dubbel en dik waard. De rust en stilte van de omgeving is zalig. S morgens kregen we een uitgebreid ontbijt buffet om u tegen te zeggen, en de vriendelijke en innemende medewerkers brachten ons elke dag met de glimlach onze koffie, en namen telkens de tijd voor een praatje indien gewenst . . Het restaurant serveert lokale gerechten en topwijntjes in een aangenaam kader. Het zwembad ligt een paar trappen naar beneden en het is zeker de moeite om eens te chillen met zicht op de prachtige omgeving. In dit hotel staat de gast en de gastvrijheid centraal. Vragen of problemen worden professioneel en met de glimlach opgelost. Het dorpje Savoca ademt gezelligheid en sfeer uit. Tot en met de laatste dag zijn we verwend geworden, het afscheid was warm en gemoedelijk, wat een fijne familie . Wij komen hier zeker terug , Borgo San Rocco is een topadresje op een toplocatie!

This hotel is exceptional. From the moment of initial email contact to our eventual departure, we were very well looked after by all the staff. It’s in a really lovely part of Sicily. Yes it’s a little remote but it’s beautiful. The food in the restaurant was first class. The room was very comfortable. The combination of a very warm welcome and a lovely place to be, made the whole trip (one week in our case) unforgettable. The owner Vittorio and the principal receptionist Francesca justify a special mention.

A family run, engaging, joyous place. All staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms have great views and the whole area is beautiful. We used the pool a couple of times: great sun trap until about 4pm. Great to chill at. We ate in the restaurant on 3 nights. Not the cheapest meal in town but quality of food was exceptional. I don’t agree with a review which suggested the portions were too small. My wife and I shared a starter and a pasta dish then had a main course each. We were stuffed. The owner is charming and makes a point of welcoming all guests and checking on them over supper. He would frequently bring some of his favourite wines out to share. Yes the road up to the hotel is a bit challenging but fine so long as you bring a small car and stick in low gear. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and gives you a perfect feel for the area after the Godfather tours have passed through. Of course if you are a Godfather fan, it is a perfect base. St Nicholas church is just up the hill and Bar Vitelli down the road.

Wow !! What a stunning hotel located high up in the hills of Savoca The drive to it is not for the faint hearted but once you reach the top you won’t be disappointed. Family run hotel - the owner Vittorio welcomes you a lovely gentleman . Staff are so lovely . A welcome drink is offered ( beer Wine anything you’d like ) We had a beautiful room overlooking the entrance and stunning views. Old style room with free standing furniture very much in keeping with the hotel . There is a swimming pool . We didn’t use it though There very little parking It’s a 10 min walk down to the centre of Savoca . We had dinner in the hotel - lovely food breakfast is the usual continental of meats fruit juices yogurt breads and cakes Would definitely recommend

Borgo San Rocco lived up to the expectations of an inviting Resort with breath taking views, superb accommodation and facilities. The staff including Francesca were amazing from making contact prior to arrival and assurance during the stay. ‘Vittorio’ is such a character and is so welcoming to all.

An amazing place to stay. Everything is good, starting from the trip from the airport to the resort (with the help of the resort’s directions - forget Google in this region) to the staffs sympathy. Aperol Spritz done with mastery. Nice rooms, amazing views, quietness, soulfull

Sono al Resort Borgo San Rocco per una breve vacanza. Un hotel in un contesto magico. Il personale è accogliente, disponibile, gentile. Ringrazio in particolare modo Alessandra, Pamela, la Sig.ra Francesca. Come poter dimenticare “don Vittorio” e le nostre “chiacchiere” del dopo cena. La location si è dimostrata ad hoc anche per il mio cane vista la spaziosità della camera e l’ottima climatizzazione. Bella la piscina da dove godi un panorama fantastico a picco sul mare. Buona la cucina. Un posto, specialmente per chi ama lil silenzio e la tranquillità, dove ritornare!!

The location is excellent, the views spectacular and the food in the restaurant was first class. The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful, the owner Vittorio is great fun , welcoming, and extremely generous. The drive up from Savoca is a challenge, very narrow in places and some very tight hairpin bends but once there you can leave the car and there is a short pedestrian route back to Savoca.

If you’re looking at reviews for this hotel then you must be thinking of going…. Stop thinking and book it. This place (the hotel and the views) is just beautiful. The staff are some of the most welcoming and friendliest me and my wife have ever come across. They went above and beyond to help us with any of our needs possible. Helped organise a blessing for our anniversary at one of the local churches as it was pretty impossible for me to try contact a priest while I was at home (in the UK) Our only negative point would be the mattresses…. Just a little hard and not the comfiest (that’s just being honest seen as though it’s a review) but that wasn’t enough to lose a star in the rating or for us to of not enjoyed our stay. We will defo be going back. The owner Vittorio is one of the nicest guys we’ve ever met and I guess it has an impact on his staff as like I said above every single one of them are a credit to him and the hotel. The views are some of the best we have seen… Mountains, valleys, sea, clear skys, old buildings and so authentic. Definitely recommend a small car if you’re hiring one! Small roads! If you’re a godfather fan then you have Bar Vitelli and Chiesa di San Nicolò (church) just a short walk from the hotel. Enjoy!!!
