Kaunis hotelli, niin ulkoa kuin sisältä, vanhan ajan tunnelmaa olematta ränsistynyt. Sijainti keskustassa Olavinlinnan vieressä. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Hyvä kylpyhuonekin! Huoneen patterista puuttui lämmönsäädintermostaatti, joten huoneessa olisi ollut tosi kuuma nukkua ellei olisi pitänyt ikkunaa auki. Hotellissa ei ollut yövastaanottoa, joten ei voitu kertoa asiasta illalla henkilökunnalle (viivyttiin yksi yö). Ei siis kovin ympäristöystävällistä nukkua patteri päällä ja huoneen ikkuna auki :D
Huoneen hintaan kuului aamupala. Koska oli sesongin ulkopuolinen aika, aamiaisbuffetissa ei ollut lämpimiä ruokia tarjolla. Kylmäkaapissa oli tarjolla valmiiksi tehty kelmutettu kylmien ainesten lautanen, jolla oli mm. hedelmiä, juustosiivuja, leikkeleitä, kalaa ja pieni annos luonnonjugurttia marjoilla.
IBS-vatsan takia olisi ollut mukava valita itse, mitä lautaselleen ottaa, nyt jäi paljon yli sellaista mitä en voinut syödä (tai matkakaveri jaksanut). Ei siis kovin ympäristöystävällistä ruokahävikin vuoksi. Gluteeniton leipä järjestyi kun pyysi etukäteen valmiiksi. Kylmäkaapissa oli (tavallista?) vohvelitaikinaa, josta sai paistaa itselleen vohveleita raudalla. Erityisruokavaliomerkinnät puuttuivat, joten jäi vähän epäselväksi, mitä kaikkea pystyy syömään. Nälkä siis jäi ja joutui menemään kahvilaan aamupalalle vielä ennen päivän hommia. Aamupala kuntoon niin tulemme toistekin :)

Petit déjeuner exceptionnel. Repas trop cher Chambre vieillotte mais literie impeccable et salle de bain parfaite. Par contre si vous arrivez à 17 h .. la réception est fermée et vous trouverez pas le sauna Bien situé par rapport à forteresse

Yksi yö Savonlinnassa, talvella. Otimme kerrankin erilaisen hotellin ja olimme enemmän kuin positiivisesti yllättyneitä. Hiljainen, rauhallinen Olavinlinnan kupeessa oleva. Ystävällinen vastaanotto virkailija, vaihtoi huoneen lennossa kun ensimmäinen oli viileä. Vaihdos kannatti. Aamupala erinomainen, tuoreet leivonnaiset ja maukas omeletti hyvän kahvin kanssa. Ja kokki oli omassa elementissä, 10 pistettä. Jos haluaa yöpyä erilaisessa ympäristössä, kannattaa kokeilla tätä hotellia, vanha talo huokui arvokkuutta.

Quest'hotel ha due punti di forza: la posizione (perfetta, sul lago, esattamente a metà strada tra la fortezza e la piazza del mercato, a due passi dagli imbarchi per le "mini crociere") e la colazione (servita in un enorme salone storico che però, a me, ricordava la festa da ballo in shining). Per il resto urge una riorganizzazione di spazi e servizi. La reception chiude alle 21:00, orario oltre il quale bisogna recuperare la chiave da una cassettina a combinazione ma non è più possibile ricevere nessun altro tipo di assistenza. Non c'è ascensore, pur essendo un hotel di più piani. Le serrature (con chiavi classiche) sono molto dure da far scattare, tanto che la prima volta temevamo di spezzare la chiave. Le camere sono molto umide, sprovviste di climatizzazione, con finestre SENZA ZANZARIERE, impossibili quindi da lasciare anche solo socchiuse lungo la notte. I pavimenti, in legno, scricchiolano al passaggio di chiunque e fanno da accompagnamento ad una insonorizzazione inesistente. Posizione delle prese talmente irrazionale da essere inspiegabile; prese per altro occupate da inutili ventilatori malfunzionanti. Bagno di vecchia concezione. Servizi comuni inesistenti e addetti alla reception asettici, sbrigativi e di poche parole.

We visited hereon our way to Kolovesi national park. The staff were very friendly and the place looks very good outside. Inside the rooms are a bit outdated. The breakfast was amazing and served in a amazing hall. The price for a night was a bit high compared the rooms quality. Sauna was small, fits three people. For us it included to the price but I saw that it was 20e/h for others.
