Absolutely gorgeous place..rooms are so comfortable very well priced..staff are so friendly.

Visited after attending my son wedding on our way home. Beautiful room, excellent staff. Shower in room was great, standard of cleanliness was excellent, attention to detail was impeccable. Breakfast was sensational, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was delicious, presentation wonderful. Best breakfast I have had for sometime.

we went back to the plough for our third time, knowing exactly what to expect..........but it was even more the perfect place to stay, additions to the bar seating, the outside seating experience was lovely. and the food was five star, amazing again thanks to all the staff

From the greeting as we arrived, through dinner and in general throughout our stay I cannot fault this place. Customer service is excellent, food is great and the room was perfect with a super comfortable bed, and everything you need for a few nights away....oh and the shower was one of the best we've had at a short stay establishment. The village of Scalby itself is lovely, with a cafe, a pub and local store. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend this pub with rooms. The pub itself is beautifully decorated and furnished and we received a very warm welcome. The room was stunning! Lots of lovely items of furniture, books, tea/coffee, minibar, robes, toiletries....The food was excellent too. All in all a fabulous place.

The ambience of the room was well above expectations .The initial welcome was extremely friendly.Service at the bar was informative and friendly The evening meal was well served with just the right amount of attention .The varied menu was exceptional The breakfast was also excellent as was the service.The house keeping staff were also very friendly All in all a very enjoyable stay .

This is a wonderful place to stay. It has everything you could need,and more. If you eat at The Plough you will not be disappointed, friendly staff and delicious food. We can't wait to return. Is also a great location to explore the East Coast and Noth Yorkshire from .

Stayed for a couple of nights, dining both nights. The decor is both well designed and practical. Everything has been thought of by the owners. Luxury bedding/pillows, lovely lighting and lots of little features. Particularly liked all the extras in the room and the quality of them, for example the Molton Brown toiletries, nibbles and honesty bar. The staff were all super friendly and attentive, a great team. Lucy & Mathew deserve a special mention. Without Mathew's helpful advice at booking, we probably would have only had one night and Lucy was a great source of information, making our stay more enjoyable in exploring the area., not to mention the excellent service in the restaurant. The food was also really enjoyable with a good cross section of dishes on the menu. Breakfast was also excellent with really generous portions. A highlight for me was the chef's homemade granola. Although parking is on street and something we wouldn't normally book, there was never a problem. We wouldn't hesitate to return.
