Premier Inn Scarborough (South Bay)

First the positives. The room was very clean, comfortable and bathroom was obviously recently refurbished. Breakfast was excellent and good value, but more on that later. Now the not so good, or could do better! The check in policy is ludicrous, I understand they need to have a designated check in time, but whilst waiting (40 minutes) I overheard the staff clearly stating that all rooms were ready for guests, but as people were entering the reception they were informed that check was not possible until 3pm and they had to wait or pay £10.00 for an early check in! The result was a packed reception and when they did commence check in, due to a “new system “ it was painfully slow! Very poor customer service. The breakfast was good value, but the attitude of the cashier guy was poor at best, probably rude if to be defined. On approaching him I was asked “ breakfast for two “ to which I replied “ no there’s only one” to which he snapped “ well I’m not to know that!” Not expected and yes rude!

Clean room. Friendly staff at check-in. Comfortable bed and bedding. Lots of twisty corridors but rooms well signposted. Really good location, in the town centre and not far from the seafront. Car park was nearby and secure, reasonably priced at £12 for 24 hours.

From when we checked in we could hear thuds of noise above us from 3 pm this didn’t stop on and off till 11.30pm 12am then started again at 7am we also had are door banged on twice by teenagers at 9pm 9.30pm I went down to the staff at the desk and complained regarding this issue but the noise still continued for us the staff didn’t give us an option to change are roomdue to the noise issue with unsupervised children upstairs I have never experienced this at any premier inn wish I never stayed at this hotel. Disappointed

Excellent weekend stay at this hotel. A really friendly mother and daughter at reception checked me in with a joke and a smile. Well done girls. Really nice after a long drive. I found the room to be clean and really comfortable. I will certainly be staying here again if needs be for work. Great price too. Thanks everyone.

Location & service good. Just what we needed for a very reasonable price. Breakfast a brilliant option for eating with kids. Excellent quick access to with bay. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely come back again.

This premier inn has our 5 stars. Staff friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean and tidy. I was very surprised with the room nice and spacious, clean and very comfortable bed. Will be choosing premier Inn in our future visits to Scarborough. Well done team.

Our go to hotel in Scarborough and the rooms never disappoint. Breakfast can be hit and miss and busy as it’s open to the public and you may find it a struggle to get a table immediately but be patient as the tables turn quickly. The hotel is ideally located and the parking at the carpark is good value.

Originally booked for one night and decided to stay another and although hotel was nearly full we were accommodated no problem all thanks to Carmen who is an advocate for the brand. Stayed plenty of times and will return as usual service was resumed with clean comfy rooms as advertised.
