My mother and I had a twin room with a sea view. The sea view was stunning (North bay is quieter and more for paddleboard/surfers) and the twin room was like two single rooms: we each had a room and tv. It was very comfortable, furnishings, bed, shower all superb. It was out of season, so no restaurant but there was decent food served in the bar and the breakfasts were great - everything you could want, and self service but staff helpful if needed. The hotel should be most proud however of the staff: it seemed like a small number of people doing a large number of jobs but they were at all times so helpful and courteous. They genuinely seemed like a caring and hardworking bunch of people. One gentleman had even spent his own time researching and compiling a map and history of Wilfred Owen's time at the hotel, including a map of places to visit related to him. Fascinating and well presented display. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would gladly visit again.
