Scheveningen Hotels with Wi-Fi

After reading the various negative reviews (after booking my trip!) I was mildly apprehensive about my stay here for a number of nights. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel very clean, although the check-in process was a time-consuming.mThe room iI was given was small but quite acceptable for my needs and quite clean. Once up in the room, I tried to call down to reception to clarify a minor issue. They ignored my calls. I rang 3-4 times over a period of 20-30 minutes, on one attemnpt, letting it ring for up to 10 minutes. No answer. I eventually found the information I needed in the small info-sheet after looking carefully. The next day, taking a day off from business, I wanted to stay in my room to write emails and so on, so I put out the 'please make up my room now sign at 8 am and went out for breakfast. There were 4 or 5 people in housekeeping on the floor, who, through the course of the day as I came and went, they, seemed have decided they should be doing every single room EXCEPT mine. I has to go to to reception again around lunch time as I found my key disabled. It took the gentleman on reception 25 minutes (I time this) just to be able to create me a new key, and there was no explanation other than ”the system is playing up”. Also at this time, I specifically asked if they would ensure my room was made up and I was assured he would contact housekeeping to make sure it would be done. I went out to lunch. I returned just before three, and the room remained unattended to. I went to reception, this time to register complain, and was quite brusquely told ”this is jsut because the housekeeping staff are busy”. Obviously so!! BNusy all day long doing every room apart from the only room with the ”please make up my room now ” sign hung on the door!! I asked to speak to the manager and was rebuffed. It was clear from the evasive response to my requrest that the receptionist did not want me to speak to the mana gera. After I said I really did want to speak to the manager I was told she wa s busy but would be along shortly. I expected him to do something to contact the manager such as pick up the phone or go to find her, instenad he simply started to ignore me and began to deal with another customer, which behaviour I found most discourteous. When I remonstrated about this he irritable stated taht ”I'm dealing with your problem by email -- you just can't see what I am writing on my screen”. 15 mins of this silent treatment passed I asked again for the manager and was told she was too busy to talk to me. I returned to my room, and housekeeping finally arrived at 1500. These service failings would be incompatible with a 3* rating hotel, but the ket to this thing is that these annoyances are all people related. it is not any indivudual issue-- these things are routine, and dealt with elegantly in even the cheapest of hotels. I expect more from a so-called 5 start property. I It is a real pity as the latest own

Delightful near the beach Douce was broken so that in front it was nice Words hit in the middle of the night at the door I heard it but my mother didn't hear it But the rest was very nice at the EasyHotel

Nice stay at hotel 31-01/2-02,good rooms ,very wide luxury room, beautiful bathroom,only allow a door in the cabin, due to water load on the floor. This weekend I stayed at Hotel Bries as part of a large group (42 participants) and the hotel staff couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful. Organising a trip like this is always stressful, but the team did everything they could to make our stay as simple as can be. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, and what we hadn’t realised was that the rooms were divided up along a whole street of houses. It looked very picturesque. Those who ordered the breakfast said it was delicious. The hotel is also very close to the harbour and beach, and there’s a tram or bus that can be taken into the city centre. I highly recommend staying at this hotel, it was a wonderful experience.

Nice, small hotel in a quiet location about 10min to the promenade. Fine rooms over 4 floors, unfortunately without balcony but with super beds, nice staff. Parking in the street difficult, in the parking garage expensive. Breakfast is sufficient and good, towels are changed daily.

Stayed with our family of four, inc two young ones (6, 2). Unit was newly furnished and well laid out, providing clear separation between beds in a loft-style format. Kitchen had everything you need to prepare basic meals. Largely self service but there is a front desk service during normal business hours M-Sat. Great location on Kaizerstraat with a 3min walk to the beach. Everything you need is nearby - Albert Heijn supermarket, tram/bus, and lots of shops/restaurants. Few local family friendly standouts: Stormerij laundry service, Arawann Thai, Chiva coffee, Studio, Hart Beach restaurant, Patagonia Beach restaurant, Sealife aquarium and Stadsborderij ‘t Waaygat petting zoo / playground.
