Wat een verwennerij. We hadden het "gastronomisch" arrangement geboekt. 7 gangen diner met alles er op en er aan, overnachting en ontbijt. De ontvangst was zeer hartelijk, en warm welkom. De service is uitstekend en op het diner was ook niks aan te merken. Een volledige avond in de watten worden gelegd met heerlijke gerechten. Je kon van te voren aangeven wat je niet wilde en hier werd uitstekend rekening mee gehouden. De bijpassende wijnen maakten het helemaal af, en na 7 gangen heb je ook wel meer dan voldoende :-). De kamers zijn prima. Enige is dat het bed ( naar mijn mening) te zacht is, en lijkt een beetje doorgelegen. Daarnaast zou een minibar wel een goede aanvulling zijn. Het ontbijt wordt aan tafel geserveerd. Alleen de yoghurt en fruit kun je zelf pakken, Je kunt alle soorten bereidingen van ei kiezen die dan voor je worden bereid. Heerlijk wat een verwennerij!

The Chateauhotel is truly an exceptional property. The grounds are full of unique sculptures, the rooms are spotless and magnificent, the dining is magnificent and best of all the staff are always courteous, helpful and professional. My wife and I have travelled in many countries and we can genuinely say that this hotel was one of our best. Fred and Vicki

Erg goed verzorgd hotel met uitstekende keuken. Ook het ontbijt was erg goed verzorgd. Vriendelijk personeel met alle tijd om een goede service te verlenen. Gaan er graag nog een keer terug. Deze rustieke omgeving met een prachtige beeldentuin ademt een gewldige sfeer uit.

even off season bar and restaurant were open and no effort seemed too big to make it a lovely stay. the restaurant (gaull&millaut 14/20) was nice, courses varied between excellent and very good. breakfast is a must here.
very reasonable prices for the food and the rooms combined with a beautiful surrounding made this stay perfect.

We hebben toch al verschillende keren bij de Havixhorst mogen overnachten…maar nog nooit in de kerstperiode. Onze complimenten hoe de eigenaren Chris & Fleur de Havixhorst hebben ondergedompeld in de kerstsfeer. Zowel binnen als buiten ademde je kerst in. Echt geweldig! Zelfs op de kamer stond er een kerststuk. Aan alles was gedacht. Echt een aanrader om een verblijf te boeken inclusief een heerlijk diner in het sfeervolle restaurant. NB Ook in de andere jaargetijden is het goed vertoeven hier!!
