The stay at the apartment was excellent. The apartment itself was very clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary appliances and utensils. We also appreciated that the parking was conveniently located right in front of the building. A major highlight was the large terrace with its amazing view of the Dachstein glacier. The location is very good, as the apartment is within easy walking distance of Schladming

The view from the hotel is nothing special and there are many places in the area that are much more beautiful. At the end of our stay we were unfairly charged €150 with the claim that the room was dirty, even though the evidence they provided shows almost nothing. The yard is not private at all, since it is open to the neighbors, and the parking is far too small, which made it very inconvenient for us. I cannot recommend this hotel and would advise others to look elsewhere.

Booking through ******* was a little confusing how to check in. The property is managed and run from the hotel next door. There are also hidden costs which only become apparent when checking in. The apartment was nice and well laid out, my only critique was the road noise woke us every morning from 4am. I admit it was extremely hot and we had to sleep with all the windows open as there is no air conditioning. This apartment would work ok in the winter. It is also a steep walk into town. The views over the town are however are amazing.

We had apartment 14. All apartments are privately owned and managed by the Hotel Erzherzog Johann, where we also check in. Generally, the apartment was good, and the kitchen was well-equipped. Five dishwasher tablets for a self-catering family of four is debatable, but okay. I'm also aware that we traveled during the most expensive period (over New Year's Eve), but the beds should have been correspondingly comfortable. The mattresses were more like hammocks, and bed linen and a set of thin towels were charged an additional €130. These are conditions like those in a youth hostel, and that's for 7 days for €3,500. I personally find that quite cheeky.
