Holzschuhs Schwarzwaldhotel

Unfortunately, there is still a lot of room for improvement here. Sometimes less is more, I say. The sauna area and the swimming pool are too built up and the water is too cold. I also found the food to be too little for the price of €219 for 2 nights with half board per person in a double room.

So I can only say a very friendly staff breakfast and dinner very good and sufficient spa area very good all in all it was good. We were only there for 2 nights, it's a bit short, you should add a few days longer. Room okay - cleanliness was okay. we would recommend the hotel.

Great hotel with excellent cuisine and very guest-oriented staff. It was a very nice time in the house and in the region. The staff is very friendly, whether in service, kitchen, reception or housekeeping. The kitchen spoils you with a three-course menu every evening. Fresh fruit and cold drinks are available daily in the sauna area. You can linger in the pool area and the children have fun running around in the water. It's just a few steps from the hotel and you're in the forest. No matter whether it's for hiking or a bike ride. There is a lot to discover for children too. We'd love to come back.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit vielen Spa- Angeboten. Eine herausragende Küche! Von Fleisch/Fisch über vegetarisch bis zu vegan . Hier bleiben keine Wünsche offen! Da versteht man warum sie viele Stammkunden haben. Sowohl die Führung als auch die Angestellten scheinen wirklich Spaß an ihrem Job zu haben. Alle sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend!

We had a very good weekend. Everything was clean. Nice room. Very kind and attentive staff. Well stocked breakfast buffet. A la carte dinner was excellent. The cocktails were also very good. The swimming pool is very pleasant, a little cool but once in it's the best. Sauna, steam bath, water bed, rest room. For us everything was perfect.

Three stars for the very old furnishings and the room. Five stars for the very good cuisine and the great warmth of the staff. The sauna is very small, unfortunately the water in the swimming pool is a bit too cold. But very nice opportunities to relax, with tea and fruit.

We arrived on December 27th, before that the hotel was closed for 14 days. If you know that the guests are arriving on that day then everything should actually be ready. But the rooms were not ready and the whole hotel was cold. No loving decoration and the reception was very cold and not friendly. The hotel is located on the main street and there was often a lot of noise at night. It's not a nice area, everything is closed all around, you can't tell from the pictures. The rooms are old and everything has been repaired appropriately. Carpet Old and dirty in the hallways. There is a lack of warmth and passion to run this hotel. The food was good and the service in the restaurant was very nice and friendly. But Mr. Holzschuh and his wife didn't think it was necessary to personally wish us a happy new year to wish and when paying, Ms. Holzschuh didn't even ask if everything was OK. We've never experienced anything like that before. And by the way, for all animal lovers: Dogs are allowed in the sauna and swimming pool!!! We complained, but it was Nobody was interested and the dog was back in the wellness area the next day. This hotel never deserved 4 stars and we really wonder where all this positive criticism comes from. By the way, my review on the hotel's website was deleted every time it was negative If criticism is the case, then it is understandable that one would be so deceived.

We recommend. The food is excellent, especially the vegan options. Big compliments to the chef. Very nice staff. The wellness area is also great. We felt very comfortable.

Dieses Hotel hat keine vier Sterne verdient! Es wird an allen Ecken und Enden geflickt, die Gestaltung der Zimmer ist unmodern und in die Jahre gekommen. So etwas kann man seinen Gästen nicht anbieten. Wir waren sehr duldsam bis zum Abendessen. Tütensuppe!!! (Das ganze Haus roch danach)! Danach verwelkter Salat und zum Höhepunkt eine Forelle, die nach einem Tümpel schmeckte. Das Ganze nennt sich dann liebevoll geführter Familienbetrieb, vielen Dank für nichts, absolute Frechheit! Wir haben uns vom Internetauftritt täuschen lassen Bilder etc. Den Aufenthalt haben wir nach wenigen Stunden abgebrochen.
