J'ai pris une chambre seul avec balcon. À l'arrivée, j'ai commencé à discuter en allemand. Le tenancier, apparemment d'origine indienne je dirais, a commencé à me parler d'échange entre clé d'hôtel (car le personnel n'est pas toujours là) et clé de chambre, via un système. Je n'ai pas tout compris, alors j'ai demandé de changer en langue française, ce qu'il a pu faire parfaitement. Je lui ai en plus demandé de me montrer, ce qu'il a fait sans discuter. Je l'ai félicité pour son sourire, car il est toujours souriant! La chambre était très propre. Je n'ai pas essayé la télévision. Le matelas était relativement dur, mais, moi qui aime les matelas standard, cela ne m'a pas fait mal au dos du tout; c'était au contraire très confortable. J'ai bien aimé la notice écologique qui nous invitait à rendre explicite le changement de linge en le mettant dans la douche - même si ça n'a pas changé grand chose pour moi, vu que je ne suis resté qu'une nuitée. La balcon et son environnement sont agréables et calmes; il y a même un petit ruisseau qui fait comme une musique calmante, et le chant des oiseaux le soir et surtout le matin ont été très agréables. On peut juste regrettez qu'il n'y ait ni stores ni rideaux opaques de ce côté (l'Est); il n'y avait que des rideaux translucides. Pour les personnes qui prennent plusieurs jours et qui aimeraient faire une grasse matinée, ça peut être pénible - mais pas pour moi, car je ne suis resté qu'une nuitée, et j'avais à libérer la chambre pour 10H30. La taxe de séjour hors réservation a été d'1 seul franc. Comme j'avais réservé directement chez eux, ils m'ont offert le déjeuner! Ah, et le cuisinier est un rocker, qui a reçu pas mal de distinctions!

We spent two nights in this hotel in the category: Deluxe Studio. The hotel is 150 m from the train station to Bern. The train travels every 22 minutes to the city centre to the station/spatalgate for €14 per person. The deep garage places for €15 per day are large and there were no free parking available before the hotel. There was a card for the room available by self-checking. The air circulation in the flowers to the room and the air in the Deluxe studio was very ”distant”. Since the windows can be opened in the Deluxe studio, the air is quickly fresh again. The Deluxe studio has a size of 27 m2 and a lot of stuff in a large closet. The bed is comfortable with view of a large flat. The kitchen is well equipped, a small washing machine is also available. A desk is directly front of the window with gardens and outdoor roller shops. The price-performance ratio is met.

The location of the hotel is relatively biased, but it is in a sales area, so eating, shopping, watching movies is very convenient, and there are many choices. It is especially worth mentioning that hotel guests can use the water park on the edge for free, which is absolutely worthwhile.

HOTEL AMBASSADOR BERN An ideal mix of good location, excellent staff & facilities We chose Hotel Ambassador primarily because it offered free parking service as we were travelling on rent-a-car and didn't have much idea about parking houses in Bern But the hotel turned out to be much better than our expectations. POSITIVES (+) The location is brilliant especially if you're new to the city. Close proximity to the tramp stop and ideally located in a neat, clean neighborhood. (+) I got a message from the hotel one day in advance summarizing all details of the stay and the city. Special thanks to Dominika Motykova who sent this message which really helped me book my free tramp tickets and get ready for the hotel stay (+) The staff and service are very good. Smooth check-in and check-out experience (+) I got a two bedroom option as we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children. This was really awesome as kids were independent and loving their own room (+) Views from the room especially with the barn and cattle side is breathtaking. Highly recommended to go for this view instead of city / old town view (+) Abel at the bar was very friendly and gentle during service hours in the evening. He chit chatted about our country, stay and gave advice on the tourist attractions. NEGATIVES (-) The hotel is slightly outdated in terms of infrastructure with old styled keys for opening doors, slightly old furniture & upholstery. The walls and carpeting inside the hotel is 90s styled. (-) The most painful aspect I experienced was the bed which was of poor quality with the mattress & pillows being really off. I was sleepless on both nights that I stayed here. (-) The pool is not heated and has limited space for people with only 4-5 beds and chairs (-) Access from basement parking to the main hotel is through a ringer which new comers may not know. No clear signage or messaging is written anywhere on how to go inside from the basement. I had to literally drag all the luggage by myself to the lobby for elevator access Overall, based on service / location / neighborhood, the place is Highly Recommended Rating: 8 / 10

Si buscas un hotel silencioso, con desayuno gratuito pero colapsado para desayunar tranquilo, con agua gratis en máquina, sin escritorio en habitación, sin armario para dejar la ropa, simplemente lo dejas todo al descubierto en un colgador que tienes en la habitación, con puerta compartida entre wc y el plato de ducha, es decir si cierras la puerta del wc dejas abierta la zona de plato ducha y viceversa. Cada vez que bajas o subes por escaleras o por ascensor tienes que llevar contigo la llave del hotel en la mano. El hotel se encuentra a 20 minutos del centro caminando o 7 minutos en tranvía . Tienes el edificio donde se guardan los autobuses urbanos de la ciudad con lo que la orientación de la habitación a lo mejor te importa. Si lo que buscas es todo lo contrario vete a otro hotel. Nuestra agente de viajes nos comentó que el hotel no permite reservar habitaciones con dos camas. Cuando llegamos al hotel no quedaban habitaciones de dos camas a pesar de que nuestra estancia era de cinco noches. El recepcionista se equivoco y nos quería hacer pagar otra vez la reserva, nos enseñaba con una libreta y un bolígrafo lo que debíamos como si fuéramos tontos. El secador del pelo se recalienta y comentándolo dicen que lo miraran pero que es una medida de seguridad y no obtuvimos respuesta. Todos tenemos secador del pelo en casa y no se recalienta a los dos minutos de reloj. Al final por nuestros propios medios descubrimos que utilizándolo a velocidad de tortuga en velocidad uno funcionaba eso sí perdiendo tu tiempo. Por mis comentarios se puede intuir que no volveré a este hotel por el trato recibido y porque servicios como el desayuno no tenemos que pagarlo todos los huéspedes sino solo los que queremos disfrutar de un desayuno tranquilo y en paz. Lo mejor el agua fría, el aire acondicionado. La limpieza es muy mejorable. Encontramos una mancha indescriptible en el wc cuando entramos de los anteriores huéspedes y que tardaron dos días en limpiar.Adjunto fotos. This hotel is a short bus ride from the main train station. The rooms are modern & ours was large. No one & no instructions on how to turn on the lights or operate the roll down shutters or anything else in the room. It was frustrating. There are large patio doors (no patio though) that open with electric roll down shutters. But our room faced busy train tracks & so leaving those doors open meant hearing VERY frequent train traffic late into the night & then starting again in the early morning. It wasn’t pleasant. Another thing to know about this hotel is the A/C is controlled & is central to the ENTIRE hotel and it’s not cool in the rooms🥵. There is NO adjusting it in your room or for your room 🥵. It is just what it is. We were advised to open our patio doors to get more air🤪. That would work if it’s cool outside AND there were not the train traffic! There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom and that just adds humidity to the room with no way to vent it. So this hotel is modern meets we don’t trust you. We would not stay here again & from now on even if the hotel says there is a/c we will have to ask the further question about who controls it & the temp.
