Herr Janke, is such a kind man we meet him after our orginal hotel had double booked on us for our wedding!!! We visited his hotel highly stressed and not sure how we were going to make our wedding happen. We were meet by a very calm and helpful gentleman. Who was able to secure rooms for us and also give us several ideas for our wedding. We viewed several rooms which were spotlessly clean and looked very comfortable. Most if the rooms are overlooking a small type of courtyard and very quite. It is excellent value for money too. Love the fact that he runs a honesty policy for the beers you comsume there are fridges that you can help yourself to beer and then tell staff on check out Schewerin is a lovely city well worth a visit. Yhe location of this hotel is excellent right beside the trams and the castle. Jennifer

Pannen können immer mal passieren. Aber ein unprofessioneller und frecher Umgang damit ist nicht zu entschuldigen. Was war passiert? Trotz einer schriftlichen Reservierung, in der ich als Rollstuhlfahrer angekündigt worden war, wurde mir beim Check-in lapidar mitgeteilt, das einzige barrierefreie Zimmer sei belegt. Ich solle halt ein normales Zimmer nehmen. Oben angekommen, kam es, wie es kommen musste. Die Türen der normalen Zimmer alle zu eng! Also wieder zurück zur Rezeption. Dort entgegnete mir der Mitarbeiter, er habe keinen Fehler gemacht und hinterfragte, ob ich das Behindertenzimmer wirklich reserviert habe. Erst als ich ihm meine Reservierung zeigte, begann er, sich zu bemühen. Aber nicht etwa, um mir ein passendes Zimmer in einem anderen Hotel zu organisieren, sondern um den Hotelgast, der das Zimmer hatte, dort wieder hinauszubefördern. Also nicht nur ein verärgerter Gast, sondern zwei! An der Stelle reichte es mir und ich besorgte mir selber eine Alternative. Der Mitarbeiter war sichtlich erleichtert, aber an der Stelle wäre es nett gewesen, mal ein Wort der Entschuldigung zu hören. Fehlanzeige! Der Hotelmanager werde sich am nächsten Tag bei mir melden, hieß es. Aber bei der Ankündigung blieb es dann auch. Gutes Krisenmanagement geht definitiv anders!

Die Hotels der „BW Signature Collection“ zeichnen sich eben, für uns als Gäste, durch ihre persönliche Handschrift aus. Regional und authentisch fügen sich Ausstattung und Services zu einem harmonischen Gesamtkonzept – das macht diese Hotels ebenso einzigartig wie unverwechselbar. Gerne immer wieder und für das Preis- Leistungs- Verhältnis kaum zu toppen. Einfach ein unvergessliches Erlebnis für Sightseeing-Touristen, aber auch für alle ruhesuchende die ihre Energiereserven mal wieder auffüllen wollen und natürlich ganz klar, auch für alle Naturliebhaber abseits vom Lärm der Städte. Waren Mitte Juni für zwei Übernachtungen hier im „Seehotel Frankenhorst“, um uns etwas besonders zu gönnen. Um es gleich vorwegzunehmen, auch diesmal wurde unsere hohe Erwartungshaltung und Ansprüche an die Hotels der ”BW Signature Collection” mal wieder erfüllt. Unser Motto, gerne mal etwas mehr ausgeben, um sich im Nachhinein nicht darüber zu ärgern, dass man mal wieder an der falschen Stelle gespart hat. Hier passte einfach alles perfekt zusammen für ein harmonischen Gesamtkonzept. Und das macht dieses Hotel am See, mit einer wunderschönen weitläufigen Parkanlage, Pool, Innensauna und einer einmaligen See Sauna, ebenso einzigartig wie unverwechselbar. Wir haben jede Minute genossen und unsere Buchung, in keinster Weise bereut. Aber es gab auch etwas, was uns nicht gefallen hat. Das war u. a., die sehr kleine Unterstellmöglichkeit für unsere Fahrräder, der für uns zu kalte Indoor-Pool, unser sehr kleines (dadurch kaum Ablege Möglichkeiten) und unmodernes Badezimmer, mit einer nicht Mobilität gerechte (behindertengerecht) kniehohe Duschbad Wanne. Alles noch mit dem Charme einer vergangenen Zeit. Hier in unserem Zimmer mit der Nr. 211, sehen wir schon einem Renovierungsbedarf. Auch das abends u. a. bestellte ”Rib Eye Steak”, war das Geld in keinster Weise wert. Ebenso das beim wirklich leckeren und abwechslungsreichen Frühstück, zusätzlich bestellte Omelett, kennen wir viel besser und wurde auch von uns beanstandet. Aber was für uns als Gäste noch besonders wichtig ist, dass ist der hier vorhandene exzellente Service, der Gästewünsche im Vorfeld der Anreise und auch vor Ort vorbildlich versucht, umzusetzen. Hat uns persönlich sehr gut gefallen und ergänzend zu unserem Wohlbefinden beigetragen. Dafür nochmals unseren Dank an das Team vom Empfang. Fazit, eine 100 prozentige Weiterempfehlung und verdiente 5 Sterne Plus. Ach ja und danke, dass ihr diese Weiterempfehlung zu wenig

Don't get me wrong, this hotel is absolutely beautiful. Whoever designed it deserves lots of praise. It's so beautiful that you wouldn't think that someone could ruin it, but somehow they managed to find that person. The management runs the place like it's some sort of pay-by-the hour hotel, treating you like you're a potential criminal and charging you for towels. I don't think I've had to pay for a towel since my backpacking days many years ago. Even hostels have stopped charging for towels. We extended for a 3rd night (we hadn't yet had to deal with many of the staff at this point) so I requested a new set of towels for myself and my family and they wanted 20 Euros! For 4 bath towels and two hand towels! And keep in mind, their towels and incredibly thin. I can't think of a hotel or even a hostel that I've stayed at where they provided their guests with such flimsy towels. I'm sure that they buy these towels in bulk and probably cost about 1 Euro each, yet they wanted 20 Euros for me to borrow them. This after spending 600 Euros on the room, 300 Euros at their restaurant for dinner and 37 euros to use their pool. (Yes, they even charge you to use their pool). Then on our last morning there, we decided to try their buffet breakfast, which wasn't cheap, which is fine, but every single time that I went to get a plate of food or a glass of orange juice an employee would chase me down to see if I really belonged there. I mean, do they really have a problem with Americans driving 30 km from the nearest city to the very end of a road in the middle of nowhere at 9 am to try to sneak a free breakfast? So, I'm not saying to not stay here. I'll even stay here again the next time we're visiting our relatives (if they let me after writing this review). It is very clean and very charming. I just think that management should visit some other hotels to see how they operate. But next time I'll bring my own nice fluffy towels.

Wij hadden hier een kamer voor 1 nacht geboekt op doorreis naar Zweden. De kamer was klein, ruimte naast het bed was er niet. De kamer en de badkamer was schoon net als de handdoeken en het beddengoed. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd zonder dat het heel erg uitgebreid was. Alles was echter aanwezig en er was ruime keuze. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. De kamer was voor een overnachting op doorreis prima. Voor een aantal nachten is de kamer te klein.

The staff was friendly at the reception and the breakfast restaurant. The gym was big and all basic weight training was available. The breakfast was good and guests could pick additional items from the menu beside the buffet section. A highly recommended hotel.

The hotel is on a busy street so parking time must be kept to a minimum, it’s a long way round to the parking at the rear of the hotel, if you have reserved a place it’s best to ask for the address. Its a very nice hotel with quite large rooms. Good bed and nice bathroom. Wifi is average. Breakfast costs €15, quite a lot for a breakfast but it’s worth every penny. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, they ask you how you like your eggs. My omelette was very good, lots of bread available and croissants. Many sorts cheese , ham , etc etc. Fresh fruitsalad, fresh coffee is brought to your table. I even saw an assortment of fish. This was the best hotel on my trip and the best breakfast.

The hotel only provide 1 pillow which is not so comfortable. Waiting line at the reception is quite a long wait. The A/C in the room is quite warm. The room size is good and good lighting in the room with a huge TV. Breakfast is great with nice choices and good quality. Unfortunately the reception would like to charge us more than they should. Luckily we checked the booking confirmation and realize that the reception tried to charge us much more than we should pay.
