Lovely place to stop on a long journey. Perfectly positioned for long drives where you need a break.
Very clean, really like that each room has a bath.
Breakfast is excellent and they have a nice bar for lunch and work meetings.
Stopped here several times, flexible about arrival time.

.... can't say I've stayed on a roundabout before - £160 for a grandstand view of the A1/A66 junction, all the action, all the noise, none of the promised upgrade ... but I got a free Twix. £160 with breakfast extra and it was impossible to sleep so beware and even more beware of the nasty receptionist when you check out - so pleased I'm an IHG Silver Elite member ... not

Stayed Monday night and Wednesday 2 different room one very soft bed and the other very hard. But ok. Room clean but dated felt old fashioned. Water pressure on shower not the best. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Friendly welcome from reception. Room a decent size and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Restaurant/bar area Went for the meal deal Good portion sizes Mix up with the pricing of the meal deal. On arrival receptionist told us £32 per adult towards dinner when paying we were told £25. Paid it and went to sit in the bar area, staff realised they had over chargered us gave us the money back. Bought one drink at the bar area and paid by card for this. The next day we checked out and went on our way it was not until we looked at the bill we paid for drinks that were charged to our room ( we did not set a tab up when we checked in we said we pay for it there and then- which I did at the bar). Sent an email after a telephone conversation with the receptionist who looked into this for us and refunded the money paid for the drinks and can not understand how that happened. Breakfast self service and a great choice on offer. Staff were pleasant and cheerful speaking to all the guest. The chef was talking to guest also and making the children laugh with some jokes.

The place is immaculately organized and staffed. Front desk are SUUPER and breakfast crew are LOVELY. Everyone is so punctual and warm. I will be in a rush to get back whenever in Darlington/Richmond/… area.

Stayed before as it’s a convenient stop over.
We find that it is a comfortable and peaceful place to relax.
The restaurant food was good for dinner and the staff were excellent.
Breakfast was good with an excellent selection of hot and cold food on offer.
Even tho this was New Year’s Eve - we had peace and quiet with no disturbance at all.
We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Had a lovely stay. Food and restaurant service excellent. Disappointed that safe in bedroom didn't work and that there was no keys/padlocks for lockers in health centre.
