Possibly one of the worst experiences imaginable. Wife's 70th birthday celebration, with she and I paying for four family groups, with a total of 16 people, and spending thousands of dollars The dated hotel is undergoing remodeling after 35 years, with jackhammers starting at 6:45 am six days a week including Saturday. No price consideration or offset is given to guests for the terrible atmosphere and noise. The check-in staff is surly, unfriendly, and borderline incompetent. My wife spent an hour the prior day confirming reservations, billing information, etc., all to no avail as the check-in folks had none of the correct information. The concierge and bellman were friendly, as were the restaurant folks (even though the restaurant has been closed and reopened in one of the conference rooms that has zero personality). The pool is very nice, except that on Saturdays, the hotel opens it up to the Scottsdale community and there were hundreds of people there, most of whom were not staying at the hotel nor guests at the hotel. My son-in-law had his sunglasses stolen, but was able to apprehend the thief before he left the premises. Nightmare situation, in summary. Stay away from this place!
