Just finished a stay at Scrubb Island Resort for a business conference. My family attended as well. The resort is conveniently located in the BVI and has a beautiful marina. The north beach and bar are beautiful and a great place to hangout for the afternoon. We had a perfect suite for our kids overlooking the marina. What I cannot emphasize enough is how wonderful the staff were to my family. They were always friendly and helpful throughout our stay, but what really set them apart was when my son had an allergic reaction (no fault of the hotel - we didn’t realize he had recently developed this allergy). The general manager Raj personally took my wife and son to the hospital on Tortola, drove my daughter and I back to ferry harbor later, and picked my wife and son up at 6 am when they were discharged). Above and beyond. Thank you Raj! Definitely will come again!

Great island property, good services on island, clean rooms, excellent food!! Service is good. If you go during a convention party, service will slow down, but they try very hard to ensure your happiness.
Resort I rate a 3.9-4 star, they can easily be a 5 star with some minor adjustments.

This was on of my favorite places to go, but they left Marriott Bonvoy group and are now way overpriced for other properties in the in the area to chose from. So sad they chose this path . Maybe with enough comments they will reconsider. Love the BVIs but will stay other than here going forward

Great place to stop and restock ice or other snacks, but not good for groceries/alcohol given the prices (but that's to be expected). Scrub is an upscale marina that is clean, fun, and overall a great little overnight stop. We will stop here again on future trips!

Scrub Island has it all. We brought out bareboat catamaran into the marina for a 2 day stay. The marina staff was super attentive and the dock master was outstanding. We were able to fill our water tanks, get additional provisions, enjoy the pool, swim up bar, and restaurants with zero complications. Plenty of maneuver room for a 50 foot catamaran with a 5.5 foot draft. Breakfast at Cardamom on the veranda was wonderful. Dinner at Donovan’s Reef was delicious - the ribs are NOT to be missed. The slips are quiet by 9 or 10 PM. Notice to Marina guests - the showers sometimes have a line to wait in excess of 20 minutes as the day progresses - plan accordingly. Nice views of Great Camenoe and Marina Cay. We will most definitely return!

We had a fantastic time at Scrub Island. From the moment we stepped out of the airport, we were greeted by a scrub island driver, and taken to their private Ferry. After a quick ferry ride over, we were greeted with rum punch, given an overview of the property and taken to our room. We were exhausted from our trip, so we decided to take a nap. Because we arrived on a Wednesday, they had a Caribbean buffet with live music and entertainment on the beach. It started with cocktails on the veranda, and then they drove us down to the north beach. The food was delicious. It was absolutely amazing. After dinner we relaxed in the pool which was absolutely beautiful looking out over the water. Every staff member we came in contact with was kind helpful and just amazing. The woman at the gift shop was super fun to talk to and helped us pick out a few items. We had lunch at the restaurant above the pool and it was delicious and ended our trip with a massage at the spa… again amazing. They arranged for us to be transported back to Tortola, and to the next hotel we were staying at before picking up our boat. No request was out of the question. They took care of everything for us. I highly recommend this resort. I can’t wait to go back.

We booked slips via email for two 48ft monohulls in advance of our sailing tour of the BVI. Booking was difficult with no facility for online dock payment so in the end I had to make a £60 call from the UK to secure the slips. Full payment was taken at booking but no confirmation emails were sent despite repeated email requests. On arrival at the marina, the dockmaster was very helpful and we were quickly docked and able to explore this beautiful resort. The two level pool with swim up bar is clean and delightful. Towels were available and there is also a nice beach to swim from and enjoy watersports. The staff were all friendly and courteous. The power failed on our dock not long after arrival and despite reporting this to multiple different staff it was only when we asked to speak to the senior manager on duty that the problem was resolved. There were showers available for marina guests but the water was cold throughout our stay. This is a great place to stop when sailing the BVI, with better admin for the marina bookings, I would give it 5 stars.

We arrived for our second stay at Scrub Island Resort and were met at the dock by our butler!?! We had booked a suite, but had been upgraded to a villa (which came with butler services). The accommodations were lovely and the service at the hotel and the restaurants was perfect. Our first ever butler, Sadiq (with back-up from his colleagues), went above and beyond to ensure our trip was perfect. The unpleasant shock came after checkout. Not only did the hotel bill us, appropriately, for the charges for our 5 night stay, but they had placed multiple credit holds during the stay. This resulted in our credit card being unusable for ~$5,000. There is still ~$2,000 as a pending charge from Scrub Island, 16 days after checking out. Correspondence with the billing staff was unsatisfying. As I told them, I would have preferred that they billed the five nights lodging charges when we checked in vs. tying up our available credit. I had intended to cc Marriott on my correspondence with the billing staff, but discovered that the Resort had ceased being a Marriott property less than a year before. The experience left a sour taste in my mouth, and I am not sure we will return to Scrub Island Resort.
