The Boylston Hotel Capitol Hill, Sonder

We booked this hotel online because the location and price looked good, and it was advertised as having parking. But when we arrived, we realized it was actually a self-check-in apartment-style building with no parking spaces at all. After calling customer service, we were told that we had to park a few minutes away in a paid parking lot. When we got there, we saw a sign saying that cars must be moved by 7:00 a.m. the next morning, or there would be a fine. That means we have to wake up early just to move the car. The listing was misleading and dishonest — if we had known this in advance, we definitely wouldn’t have chosen this place. On top of that, there were no slippers or toiletries provided, and the room was very small. We’ll just make do for one night, but we don’t want to come back again. Because of this booking, my son and I argued for hours — he even blamed me for not handling things well.

I had a wonderful stay here. The location in Capitol Hill was perfect for exploring the neighborhood, and I appreciated how easy the self-check-in process was. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. What stood out most was how welcoming and responsive the staff were. It's clear they genuinely care about their guests' experience. Overall, it offered great value for the area, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Boylston Hotel for a night out in Seattle and absolutely loved it. The location was perfect—within walking distance of so many great bars and restaurants. The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the staff was warm, friendly, and responsive. It was the perfect place to come back to after a fun evening in the city. You're not going to find another hotel so centrally located in Seattle. Hip area, great rooms, and trendy design. Staff was helpful to find hip nearby restaurants too. You wont be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed here for a date night and it was exactly what we needed. Between work, life, and chasing around a toddler, we don’t get many opportunities to sneak away together, so having a comfortable place to relax made all the difference. The room was clean, cozy, and quiet, and the location was perfect for grabbing dinner and enjoying Capitol Hill without having to worry about driving everywhere. Check-in was easy and everything felt smooth from start to finish. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about when we could come back. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a great Seattle neighborhood.

I requested a quiet room well in advance of my stay (several months in fact). When I arrived at the hotel I found I was given a room at street level right next to the front door - possibly the noisiest room in the hotel. The banging shut of this automatic door made it impossible to stay asleep after 6am. I find it difficult to believe that Sonder couldn't have made more effort to allocate me a quieter room. When I tried to contact the hotel staff to change the room, I got either 'We can't find your reservation' or 'Oops something went wrong' (using either the Sonder app or the Sonder web page to send a message because this hotel did not have a physical reception. Both methods failed consistently - so frustrating). When I tried to call the hotel staff, no human answered the phone (I waited for 5 minutes, but that was enough when paying roaming charges). A couple of days later when I did eventually reach a human, I was told that the reservation system was having problems. The hotel was unable to change my room for a quieter one.
