It is a good location for hiking and traveling around the Saxon Switzerland National Park (Königstein, Bastai). It is not directly connected to the famous tourist attractions, but I moved by S Bahn. The interval between buses is long, but it was still comfortable to move.
I arrived before 20:00 because they said that check-in was not possible very late, and breakfast was served until 10:00, so I had plenty of time.
The service was very friendly, and I had a great trip after receiving recommendations for hiking courses.

Unser Appartement aus zwei Zimmern lag auf zwei Etagen im Nebengebäude und war sehr ruhig. Die Bahn haben wir kaum gehört. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Umgebung ansprechend bepflanzt. Frühstück reichlich und vielseitig, nur Cappuccino habe ich vermisst. Es gab Tee oder Filterkaffee. Wir haben auch zweimal im zugehörigen Restaurant zu Abend gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden, es hat allen gut geschmeckt. Bedienung war freundlich und prompt. Einzig die Matratzen waren für uns etwas hart, unbequem. Der Teppich ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Vorhänge haben nachts nicht genug verdunkelt (zum Innenhof hat es grosse Fenster und die Beleuchtung brannte durchgehend) Aber insgesamt hat es uns gefallen. Die Lage war dank Fähre und S-Bahn günstig für Wanderungen und Ausflüge. Dazu haben wir das Auto nicht benötigt, denn mit Gästekarte ist der öffentliche Verkehr im Gebiet gratis.

Ich war im Restaurant erneut zum Abendessen, unangemeldet und wurde wieder sehr positiv überrascht. Im Biergarten gab es freie Tische und alles war liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Service am Gast war ausgezeichnet und die Speisekarte abwechslungsreich mit einem regionalen Akzent. Für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen und das Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen. Allerdings sollte in der Ferienzeit zur Sicherheit reserviert werden.

Worst room ever! The room stunk of urine and mold. It had no air circulation unless you were willing to leave your room door and curtains open to all passing by. Carpet was worn and stained. Light fixtures were just bulb in ceiling. The only window other than the room door opened to cellar entrance and animals or vermin could have come into the room. Like being in a stinky cave! Do not accept a room with a number less than 100. YUK!

I was in the restaurant for dinner, unannounced and very pleasantly surprised. The customer service was excellent and the menu varied with a regional accent. There is something for every taste. The price-performance ratio is reasonable and the restaurant is recommended.

Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Lage, der Parkplatz ist ca. 200m entfernt. Personal war sehr freundlich, wenn auch im Gasthaus ein wenig gestresst. Zimmer hatte leider keinen Schreibtisch für kleine Arbeiten. Schlafkomfort war ok. WLAN ok. Einrichtung ist schon ein wenig altbacken. Frühstücksbuffet war grundsätzlich ok, aber der Orangensaft ist verdünnt was für mich nicht ok ist. Abendessen im Gasthaus war ok, aber hier darf man sich nicht allzu viel erwarten.
