Cella Hotel & Spa Ephesus

We spent only one night, unfortunately, as one night was the only time we had in our plans for Selcuk. I choose the hotel for its location near Efes ruins. The place was beautiful, the manager or owner, was an incredible friendly and excellent host. The breakfast was right on time, delicious. I wish we could have spent more time in the area. The house of Virgin Mary is a very short drive from the Hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel has sandy beaches, but the beaches and seawater are average. The swimming pool is good. More than 80% of the hotel's guests are seniors. Staying in the hotel for two nights seems to be living in a nursing home! The bathroom in the guest room was smelly, and the spray head was not easy to use. I called the front desk for two toothbrushes and didn't deliver it until I checked out. There are many buffets, but too few are suitable for Chinese stomachs.

Amazing! Absolutely amazing! Easily, one of the best hotels, if not the best, at which I have ever stayed. Unfortunately, Trip Advisor only allows me to give up to 5 stars. It deserves more. The hotel shows the pride of ownership of Muharrem and his partner Soner. Muharrem is an architect by profession. But I believe he is also an artist, interior designer, manager, concierge, and all-around friendly guy with a wealth of information to match a welcoming persona. He really made our stay at his hotel a highlight of our 2-week trip to Turkey. The hotel is a quiet and secure oasis in this area of the Aegean with its central pool and spilling water fountain, inviting olive tree, massive front gate, and relaxing indoor and outdoor dining areas. Every detail thoughtfully implemented. Location? It couldn't be better. Less than 2 miles from Ephesus, a short bus ride to the beaches of Kusadasi or the alpine village of Sirince. You can also arrange an all-day trip to Pamukkale or shuttles to or from the Izmir airport through the hotel. The bus station and the train station are just minutes away on foot. Busses are very reasonably priced, run frequently and are comfortable. Also, St John's Basilica, Ayasuluk castle, and the ruins of the Temple of Artemis are just a few blocks away. You can almost see these from the hotel. Note: Some of the best Turkish rugs are made and sold in this area. Ask Muharrem for dealer recommendations. Note: The Diana restaurant is conveniently across the street. On the second floor with some views. We tried and liked the pasta dishes.

The boss is super good. We have been paying attention to any problems with us when we checked in. I am very enthusiastic and caring. I thought that Maria’s home was too far away. I didn’t plan to go. Later, the boss called us a taxi and finished the house of Maria. Also sent us to the ancient city of Ephesus, the price is reasonable, the single ancient city 30 lira, plus the Maria House 120 lira. When leaving the hotel, the boss has been asking if we have booked a ticket, very intimate, recommended!

Breakfast is a local Turkish breakfast and the Chinese may not be used to it. The picture shows a large flat with 50 floor-to-ceiling windows. The landscape is a panoramic town under the mountain. It is beautiful. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to Beaver. The service is very warm and thoughtful, in general, the experience is perfect
Livia Garden Hotel

The favorite hotel for this trip to Turkey. The hotel is located in a secluded alley, about7-8 minutes walk from Selchuk Railway Station, not far from the main street. The hotel has a small courtyard, which looks like a private house of a large family in the past. The courtyard door is two wooden doors. There are vine green plants on the fences on both sides of the courtyard door and two clusters of pink and purple flowers are just out, which makes people shine. There is a small swimming pool in the courtyard, where guests can play in the water to cool down and spend leisurely vacation time. The interior decoration of the hotel is retro style. The tables and chairs, windows and cabinets in the room are also simple and retro style. It feels very comfortable. It really matches the charm of the ancient city of Selcuk. The breakfast was great, all kinds of cheese, jam, fruit and bread were fresh. The staff service is very warm and professional. If you have the opportunity to go to Selchuk again, you still want to stay at this hotel.
