Gangnam Seven Hostel

Basic. That is what it is. A basic place. With basic service and amenities. In a basic location. For a basic price. I guess you get what you pay for. Book if you have an emergency otherwise look for something better in the city.

Convenient. Simple. Cleaning should be improved. But the good location and the price make it a good choice for solo travelers in Seoul. Would stay here again.

I thought Gangman Seven hostel was a very pleasant experience! For the value of the price it’s really unmatched in Seoul. While a bit far from the touristic neighborhood, it’s very close to several subway lines, reasonably clean for the price. ⬇️ Also if you leave the hostel and take a left and walk for 6-7 minutes, you will see this dumpling place pictured below, really incredible and affordable dumplings, I highly recommend. Went back 2 nights

Only stay here if you’re absolutely desperate, it’s not a hostel it’s a collection of rooms with beds in. The 4 bed dorm I booked was very small with barely any room for one person to move around never mind 4. The tap in the bathroom was completely broken and the bathroom itself was very dirty. When you climb onto the top bunk you feel as though you will make the entire bunk bed fall over as it is so unstable and any time you move slightly the whole bed shakes. The “common area” is a tiny room with a table and 4 chairs, there is a fridge but it is for staff only, the guest fridge is in the corridor. There is no kitchen however there is a microwave you can use BUT they do not provide a cutlery (nor even some chopsticks) plates, bowls or mugs so it is essentially only for noodles. I have all my own food for making simple oats and a coffee for breakfast but I can’t as they don’t provide any cutlery. When I asked reception about this I was told that it’s only for staff. The location is near a metro but it’s still very far to get to any of the areas you work actually want to visit. Overall this is one of the worst “hostels” I have stayed in on my 11 month trip, please avoid if you can.
