Blue Boat Hostel Myeongdong

Went to Korea with my family. We arrived at 3 PM that day, and the owner was already there waiting for us, which was very convenient. The stairs were a bit steep, as the apartment is on the top floor, but the owner helped us with our luggage. The air conditioning on the top floor worked great, and there was always hot water for showering. The trash can was large, and the door had a key code lock. Everything was perfect, except for the lack of an elevator. The price was also very reasonable.

For this price, I thought it was excellent! The toilet was a bit small and inconvenient to use, but if you're used to guesthouses, I think you'll have no problem.

It was tough climbing the steep stairs with heavy luggage, but the staff helped me out. They were really kind and cheerful, and spoke Japanese too. One of the plug adapters didn't work, but the bathroom was clean and I had a comfortable stay. Even though I was alone, I got a bunk bed. I'd definitely stay here again when I transit through Seoul.

The location isn't on the ground floor, which can be a bit tricky to find at first, but the large sign is very clear. The check-in instructions via message were thorough and easy to understand. However, my room was the only one that didn't use a password; it was a card key touch-and-open type. So, the first time I entered, I had to have someone from inside open it for me. This was because the card key was initially placed on the bed. The room facilities are fine if you're just looking for a place to sleep. They do provide plug adapters, but depending on your country of origin, you might want to bring a voltage converter.

Great location, super convenient for getting around, shopping, dining, and exploring. The hotel itself is lovely, well-equipped, clean, and quiet. A really good choice!

The location is good, but the hotel is very cramped. It would be fine for one person. Overall, it's okay. There's also coffee/tea available.
