Our family was reunited and the family went to Seoul. Rakkojae is within walking distance of The Blue House, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Buckchon Village, Jogyesa Temple, Insa-dong, and many Michelin-starred restaurants. The staff and Mr. Kim, our host/concierge were very helpful with what to do, where to eat, arranging taxis, etc. He was even gracious and allowed us to leave our luggage before and after Seoul. Rakkojae Seoul is located in a very quiet, deserted street, making us feel like we were in the Joseon Dynasty. Oh, the staff served us a delicious Korean traditional breakfast and continental breakfast. If you want a modern hanok experience, we highly recommend Rakkojae Seoul.

Beautiful traditional property and great location at the center of bukchon village. Love the feel of being in a local neighborhood. This is walking distance to a lot of restaurants, hanok houses, palaces, little shops and coffee houses, and small museums. We absolutely enjoyed our experience here but I also realize that this kind of housing is not for everyone. They also provide hanbok for you to wear within the property grounds. Every inch of the property is picturesque and goes perfect with the hanbok. The staff is great and took a lot of amazing photos for us. We had a small trouble using the gate key on our way back to dinner on our first time. It was pouring rain and the emergency contact spoke little English. As it turned out, you have to touch the keypad first. It might benefit the guests if there's an instruction for this near the gate. Food is just ok for us but it's not an issue as there are plenty of options very close to it.

It is a traditional Hanok that is familiar to us, but unfamiliar to foreigners or those born after 2000. You can experience the traditional Hanok that you only see on TV by staying here, and the experience of the scenery that changes with time is a unique feature of Rakgojae that cannot be experienced in other hotels. The interior of the room has been modernized to ensure a comfortable stay, and you can choose between Korean and Western food for breakfast, so you can enjoy it to suit your taste. Really happy with my stay here! would definitely be back, such a pretty traditional place and you can take really nice photos as they provide you hanbok to wear as well. The staffs were really polite and provided top notch service. Place is really clean and food is really yummy too. Thanks for making my stay memorable (:
