Roynet Hotel Seoul Mapo

The room was very clean, and the bathroom was spacious with a Japanese-style design. The hotel is conveniently located near Mapo and Gongdeok subway stations, about a 5-minute walk away. Across the street, there's a bus stop for Incheon Airport buses (6015, 6071), making it very easy to get to and from the airport. A taxi to Gimpo International Airport costs approximately 21,000 KRW. Downstairs, there's a Starbucks, a 7-Eleven, and a bakery, and across the street, you'll find McDonald's, Korean fried chicken, BBQ, Chinese restaurants, and even an Olive Young. It's incredibly convenient for dining, accommodation, and transportation. Excellent value for money!

This is an excellent Japanese-style hotel. We checked in on the 9th and stayed for 2 nights. The front desk kindly upgraded my daughter and me to a deluxe twin room on the 22nd floor (room 2217) free of charge. The room was spacious, especially the two king-size beds. The bathroom and shower were separate, and there was even a vanity area within the bathroom, which was incredibly thoughtful. I'll definitely be staying here again.

The room wasn't too small, but the bathtub took up some space next to the bed, so we could only just manage to open two 26-inch suitcases. The room was very clean and tidy. They also have a self-service laundry room and a microwave, which was very convenient. The hotel is close to the bus stop and the airport shuttle. The only downside is that it's located between two subway stations, so you have to walk about ten minutes with your luggage.

Booking Rune in Seoul was definitely the right choice. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the familiar style, and many small details were just to my liking. Plus, the room I booked was spacious enough, making for a comfortable stay. It's conveniently located near several subway lines, making it easy to get to Seoul Station, Incheon Airport, Yeouido, and Hongdae. The free coffee on the third floor is a great perk; if you're not insistent on trying cafes outside, this one is perfectly sufficient. There's also a A Twosome Place downstairs, which is great for breakfast.

The showerhead couldn't be fixed in place; water sprayed everywhere as soon as it was turned on, and it was also loose up and down. The room was very noisy. When I asked to change rooms, I was told that the only option was a lower floor, which would be even noisier. There was spilled red wine in the lobby that wasn't cleaned up for a long time. My friend, who works in Korea, left souvenirs downstairs with the takeout, and they were stolen. They said they'd never lost anything in Korea before. The hotel claimed they didn't have permission to check the surveillance footage and suggested calling the police might be faster. The charger provided by the hotel broke as soon as I plugged it in.

The location is great, and the surrounding area is pretty good too! The only slight inconvenience is that the front desk isn't on the first floor, but on the third. However, the large coffee shop on the first floor is super convenient for coffee *******, and it's a branded chain that accepts Alipay, so no cash needed – very handy (it's great that Alipay is accepted in most parts of Seoul, though it gets a bit less convenient outside the city). The Korean restaurant on the second floor is also excellent. Right next to the hotel is an Olive Young, so you can shop without having to drag your purchases too far – a big plus! The airport bus stop for transfers to the airport is also just a short walk from the entrance, making airport access really easy. The room has everything you need. For this location, it's perfect!

The room was quite clean, and even with three beds, the space was still ample and didn't feel small. I really liked the separate toilet and bathroom. The semi-self-service check-in process was very convenient, and the location is excellent. It's just a few minutes' walk to the bus stop, subway, and airport shuttle, making it super convenient. Highly recommend!
