The Recenz Dongdaemun Hotel

Upon entering to check-in, there was no proactive greeting. The attitude during check-in was also just so-so. I chose this hotel specifically because it was advertised as a 'Chinese selection,' but I felt their attitude towards Chinese guests was indifferent. Other explanations were general, mainly emphasizing the 11 AM check-out time, warning of a penalty otherwise. Personally, I think the hot water issue, which I'll mention next, is more important than that. Aside from these points, the hygiene was acceptable. The facilities are a bit old. There's a convenience store nearby, and the bus stop downstairs is also very convenient.

Extremely convenient location with a bus stop right outside and a metro station just 100 meters away. There's also a convenience store (CU) and a 7-Eleven nearby. The environment is relatively clean, and housekeeping services are provided. A great choice for independent travelers.

The hotel facilities are dated; the TV is as small as a computer monitor, and the toilet isn't a smart one. On our first night, the toilet clogged twice, and the repairman couldn't fix it. It was overflowing with water in the middle of the night, forcing us to switch rooms. Mr. Li at the front desk provided excellent service. He helped us change rooms and even gave us chocolates and an apology letter when we checked out, which showed great sincerity.

Stayed here for 3 nights, 4 days and was very satisfied. It's quiet, clean, and the facilities are good. Breakfast was just okay, pretty standard. It's convenient for getting to Myeongdong and Dongdaemun from the bus and subway stations. There's a CU convenience store next door. Everything was great.
