We stayed 2 nights at The Lodge Country House. The room and amenities were great. Everything has been thought of. Breakfast was delicious and the open fire was perfect for a cold night. Thank you Colin and Phil for welcoming us to your beautiful home.

We hired the whole Lodge for 4 nights. The whole experience was brilliant. The staff were helpful to allow us to visit the property prior to our time there, so we knew what to expect. They catered for our needs in every way. Every room was comfortably appointed. We made use of the BBQ and Gazebo and it was so pleasant to sit out there as the sun went down. We also had a private chef come in and do a degustation meal in the formal dining room which was fabulous (the chef was recommended by The Lodge). It was cold enough to have fires in the evening which always adds to the atmosphere! It was such a peaceful place to stay for 4 nights right in the fabulous Seppeltsfield Barossa area and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

We were given a 2 night stay at The Lodge at Seppeltsfield to celebrate a big birthday recently. It transpires The Lodge has been bought back by the Seppeltsfield winery in the last 6 months, so all previous reviews are from former owners. We arrived at 2pm and were met by Jonathan, who's the new Guest Co-ordinator. He was lovely and very welcoming, telling us we had the place to ourselves so could choose which room we'd like. He showed us where the tea/coffee etc was and prepared the fire for the evening. He suggested Room 4 was the 'better' room which we took. It seemed like no one had been in the Lodge recently as it felt cool, albeit heating was on. To be honest, it felt cold and a bit uncared for ... as if previous owners had left and nothing had been done to it since! Perhaps it was because it was such a large 'empty' house for just the 2 of us? There are 5 rooms available - 4 at one end of the house and the others at the front where previous owners lived we believe. There is a commercial kitchen in between. Room 4 was large and comfortable, with tv on wall. Linen and king bed was good. Bathroom, on the other hand, felt a bit tired - shower, loo & basin - with heater lamp to take the chill off. Shower was fine having said that. Jonathan arranged to pop back around 8.15am to do brekky. Choice was fine. Homemade granola, cereal, berry compote and yogurt. He'd got fresh bread from Tanunda on way over. Tea & pod coffee available, with juices. Menu offered eggs in various guises, if required. Oh, forgot to mention, Anzac bickies were left to enjoy at any time! Honesty bar available - Seppeltsfield wines and local gins, and free glass of tawny port too. Appreciate its Winter, but front garden was in need of a **** and tidy! We enjoyed exploring an area of Australia we'd never visited before, and sampling Seppeltsfield wines and ports.

We were a party of six and stayed for two nights. The hospitality was excellent, Colin and Phil were warm and welcoming, responding to our arrival request for cheese and fruit and wine with amazing speed and quality. We loved the warm fire blazing whenever we came ‘home’ and the privacy we were afforded. Beds comfy and well fitted bathrooms - good heating! Lovely gardens. Great breakfast and excellent location. We recommend this establishment!

We had 3 wonderful nights here recently. The Lodge is an historic house, set in lovely gardens in a very quiet rural/vineyard area with a beautiful large living area where the fire was always lit & crackling. The rooms are very comfortable with a great king size bed, & quality bedding & bathroom products. Add to this, the warm, gracious & professional hospitality by our hosts, Colin & Phil. We felt so welcome, comfortable & private here. Thank you both
